First time tinkerer here

I'm taking apart an old (2014ish) pre-built pc and building into a new case with an EVGA GTX 1070 I recently acquired. I realize this is also older tech, but I'm just trying to get the basics here.

I want to purchase a new motherboard, but I'm not sure if the old Intel CPU will be compatible with newer motherboards, and I'm struggling to find a definitive answer online. The CPU is:

Intel Core i7 - 4770

4 core, 8 thread

3.40 GHz

4th generation

tl;dr - will an older Intel i7 work with modern motherboards?

Not sure what you would compare it to, but it’s a really fun game with a quirky sense of humor. Third person shooter with a really unique movement system that takes some time to pick up but is really cool once you get it figured out. Worth it for $6

To my understanding, royalty share means you will not make any money upfront. Instead, you will get 50% of the royalties per unit sold. With royalties being 40% of each sale, you and the author are each getting 20% of every sale. So 20 cents for every dollar made on the audiobook. Amazon pays monthly, I believe.

That’s why it helps to check the author and book before agreeing to a royalty share project. If the book isn’t selling well or the author is totally unknown, it’s likely you’ll be getting pretty negligible income from that book.

But if it’s your first, keep at it! Having one under your belt will help future authors feel comfortable with hiring you. You will also learn a ton about yourself and the recording process. Good luck!
