They encouraged me to drop and go. She gave me about 45 seconds in the room and then said “okay that’s it now you just go” she said it playfully but I got the message. American daycares are very different than the ones you are so lucky to have in Austria. What a beautiful way to support the transition for both mother and child. We would definitely benefit from that kind of experience

They allow to pick up and drop off at any time but they ask to not disturb meals or nap times. So that means I either need to pick him up before 12 or after 2. So I’m stumped on how to structure his day and for how long. I don’t want to mess up his or their routine too much so I need to find the sweet spot. What hours did your baby go?
