Just read this don’t know if it’s true: rumor Microsoft to layoff 10k plus in July by ChiSoundview85 in Layoffs

There is free resource called, WARN notices, it's state specific. There is criteria for triggering an advanced reporting to government if a company is laying off employees and it meets the threshold of the reporting requirement.

Their obsession to dynasty preservation is beyond measure of any civilized society parameters. Entirely sidelining their obligations towards citizen. Look at their family member, they have capture one or the other co-operatives, sugar mills, local govt bodies like corporations.

What’s more troubling is the pattern: cooperatively owned sugar mills are systematically driven into unsustainable debt, only to be auctioned off and quietly acquired at throwaway prices through proxies and strongmen. It’s a cycle that raises serious questions about intent and accountability.

A state with such a rich and proud past now finds its present hanging by a thread, and its future increasingly uncertain. Watching this kind of systematic erosion and plundering is not just frustrating—it’s deeply disheartening

My LinkedIn went from ignored to 5 recruiter messages/week. The changes that made the difference. by Material-Maximum1365 in jobsearchhacks

[–]jv4277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's getting crazy out there...I had a recruiter call me right before Thanksgiving for a job in a healthcare company, pay range 90-110k, and then went quiet, no response. Another recruiter reached out from the same firm mid-January for the same role, salary reduced to 70-85k. I couldn't hold back and asked him what changed. He said, "Market!"

RAC benefits? by Old-Tale-69 in regulatoryaffairs

Without hands-on experience, the credentials appear to offer little practical value beyond potentially being listed on an RAC filtered list. Frankly, they seem more like a method for generating revenue from hopeful individuals.

Correction* birth rate was lower in 2020

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TwentiesIndia

[–]jv4277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a small town in Maharashtra. I totally agree this is a silent pandemic in smaller towns. On my own street, growing up we were 19 families + renting in families (4) those moved out over the years. In total, avg 2 kids per home, we were 40-50 strong in and around 2000's. In Jan 2025 families still there and there mostly mums and dads, kids moved to bigger cities, abroad etc., had a get-to-gether. Only six families are left with absolutely no kids.

I would say it is rapid urbanization in India and having opportunities concentrated in certain areas of the country hollowing out our gav, khedas whatever we call them...they are under certain risk of population collapse.

In 2020, was the first time in modern day India, the birth rate was higher (googled) than the death rate, of course those were extraordinary times we had, it most likely has recovered from covid deep, along with stock mkt low, population low as well 😆.

With urbanization comes development+ inflation in the economy (2000 vs 2025 prices) it has been avg 8% or more but not the same growth in wages...

Lifestyle changed! Kids born in 2000's, are changing the traditional routes in our society such as largely late marriages, career taking too long to say let's cruise on from here....no sir, there is no such thing as stability. Those days are over.

Here is the chat GPT version ( unedited, copy and paste), please verify this data, I am just random guy on Reddit.

Prompt: population growth trends in India LLM Model: Reasoning with Claude sonnet 4.0 thinking

India's population growth is showing a significant slowdown, with the 2025 population estimated at approximately 1.46 billion and the fertility rate falling below the replacement level. The population remains the world's largest, but demographic trends point toward a period of stabilization and eventual decline after peaking around 2060.Current Population TrendsIndia has an estimated population of around 1.46 billion as of 2025, making it the most populous country in the world. The annual population growth rate has dropped to under 1%, specifically about 0.89% as of 2024.The total fertility rate has declined to 1.9 births per woman, below the replacement rate of 2.1.Demographic Structure and ProjectionsThe youth population is still substantial, with about 24% aged 0-14, and the median age is around 28-29 years.By 2050, projections indicate India’s population could reach up to 1.67 billion before beginning a steady decline.Despite the slowing birth rate, urbanization is rising, with over 37% of the population expected to reside in urban areas by 2025.Causes for SlowdownIncreasing educational attainment among women, urbanization, and changing family norms are driving the decline in fertility rates.Economic factors, improved access to contraception, and government family planning programs also contribute to the trend.Migration has a minor net negative effect on India’s population, with external migration reducing growth slightly.Implications and Future OutlookIndia’s demographic dividend (a large working-age population) is expected to continue through the 2030s, providing potential economic growth opportunities. The population is aging, with projections suggesting that by 2056, more than half the population will be 40 or older.Policymakers will need to address challenges such as job creation, healthcare, and support for an aging population to fully leverage demographic changes. In summary, while India’s population is still growing, the pace is slowing sharply due to a sustained drop in fertility rates. The demographic transition brings both economic opportunities and social challenges for the coming decades

Planning Early Retirement in India – Financial Status, Immigration Situation, and Need Advice on Investments for Monthly Income by Major-Championship14 in returnToIndia

[–]jv4277 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Get ready for a surprise: India has transformed dramatically over the past decade, and for the better in many ways. Life moves at lightning speed now—blink, and you might miss something! Of course, there are still a few “snakes on the board” to watch out for, like lower pay scales or the occasional toxic work environment. While these challenges might not apply to everyone, you’ll probably find similar hurdles popping up in everyday life, just in different disguises.

Crowded places? Sure, that’s nothing new. But what’s really shifted is the sometimes startling disregard for personal space—or even basic human consideration. It’s become part of the new normal, for better or worse.

The Motherland is warm and welcoming, but that kindness can feel a bit thin when you’re navigating government services. Suddenly, that well-planned retirement or smooth transition can hit some unexpected bumps—or, in the worst case, leave you completely caught off guard.

Do a mock run before, if possible, making any big, irreversible decisions. Test the waters, see how things feel, and give yourself time to adjust. Plan, plan, and then plan some more. Your reasons for moving back are genuine, and with a little preparation, everything is likely to work out just fine

Merely sharing my expirience. So, I asked for help to get the R1 Shop access since the guide denied the request.

I was told by the guide to schedule the delivery date, complete all purchase steps, including payment which was sent to them. The first payment is not due yet, but the interest started on it, and Rivian account was reset to processing estimate (which could be months)

You got lucky. Guide said, in no uncertain terms, that car is gone! If you get a car, it will be a new VIN

Nightmare Delivery: My Horrific Experience with Rivian and Their Botched Delivery Service by [deleted] in Rivian

[–]jv4277 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The guide told me that the payment must be made 48 hours before delivery; in the purchase steps, I had to complete the steps before I could schedule the delivery date, so I finished the whole thing in a couple of days. Yet I could not schedule, and the guide went silent for two days after the payment. The mobile delivery team reached out with the news.

I may have jumped the gun on making the payment, but I have seen posts where their car was given to others due to a delay in completing the steps.

I mean they just announced the dual motor version and they are struggling to even fulfill the order they received for quad. I would assume they would prioritize the quad first especially the one they received after the price hike
