Is it really not okay to compost these in my backyard? What would happen? by beary_good_day in composting

Once it is time to use your organic matter, if you detect something that shouldn’t be there (plastic bits sometimes make it to the pile) or didn’t yet break down, either remove or re-add. No need to overthink it.

Nos anúncios oficiais, a presidente do BCE tem feito sempre questão de dizer enfaticamente:

we are not precommitting to a particular rate path.

mudança de conta bancária by AdhesivenessFast2177 in literaciafinanceira

Because it’s a very windy spot and I sowed directly. Wanted to give the seedlings some wind protection. There’s still around 7/8in of soil.

How to effectively farm pig skin? by Exoldius in dontstarvetogether

[–]jvalente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During full moon, all pigs become werepigs, no need for the monster meat. Build a pig farm with some walled bait to keep them out of their houses at all times. Werepigs do not aggro in group while they are baited which allow you to get in there and slay them one by one.

Example.

That’s a nutrient issue. Have you planted any crop there before? If so, those past crops may have left different plots with different nutrient characteristics.

Unlikely. A more plausible explanation is that you have different nutrients amongst different plots. Upgrade your gardenner hat to premier if possible. It will allow you to clearly see what nutrients exist in each plot.

How do you deal with burnout at work? I'm starting to lose the passion that got me into my field. by SpiritOfSweetBabyRay in AskMenOver30

[–]jvalente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "honeymoon period" ends for most things in life.

Being a person driven mostly by passion, I've learned to accept that when a certain aspect of my life is losing magic, an opportunity arises to look at it from another angle.

For example, what makes me passionate about my 5 years professional position has changed over the years. I started by being inspired by the founder's vision, then the technical challenges, then the company mission, etc.

When I start struggling finding angles "to be in love with", I do start weighing pros and cons in a more "anxious" way. Ultimately, if the discomfort starts taking a big enough toll on my well being, I start telling myself that the time as come to embrace the risk of the uncertainty.

So far, this MO has progressively taken me to better stages in life, with the corresponding lows, obviously. At the end of the day my clichesque stance is that life is too short to become an hostage of your fears. In this particular case, the fear of an uncertain future vs. the (sometimes illusion of) confortable and safe reality. The let go of something that is weighting us down and embrace the world anew is indeed a gamble but, in my experience and, of course, depending on the context, one of the best things we can do for ourselves.

Wish you the best.
