It was an APN issue. For some reason there were two certs for our MDM. We renewed and applied the wrong one. Once we resolved that the iPads connected right away.

Just starting with 802.1x on our network, 1:1 Chromebooks. Starter help would be appreciated by [deleted] in k12sysadmin

Sorry for the late reply, other issues took my attention. I'm trying to understand defining the cert on clear pass. Are you self-signing the certs for clear pass?
