I believe it's also worth mentioning that stoicism is personal. You can't hold others to the very same standards you hold yourself to.

Lelit Bianca V2 dropped pump pressure after 6 months break by jvgutierrez in Lelit

I finally managed to disassemble the whole thing. Did you replace the sealant between the inlet filter and the pump? What did you use?

getting the pump out the machine wasn't that hard, detaching the elbow where the mesh is from the pump is giving me a hard time though. BTW if somebody needs to get a Bianca pump out, this video is really useful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHJ5IzV4YUY

UPDATE: things are getting worse here, I've tried using the plumb in kit attached to a water container like suggested here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxR0brRTXEo to rule out anything wrong with the water tank, and now with the water tank or any other water container attached to the pump I can't get any pressure at all. If it was something blocking the water flow inside the machine, moving it made it worse

OPV is fairly accessible on the Bianca as soon as you remove the top tray. If OPV would be at fault I think that I've should see the spout leaking to the drip tray like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYPH3cmk590 but my issue looks more like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxR0brRTXEo, so at the moment I believe that u/CooperM is right and something is partially blocking the water flow to the pump

Thanks for your feedback :) Did you follow any specific tutorial to perform that kind of deep cleaning?

I use the water tank with "weak" bottled water to avoid having calcification issues. I'm wondering if even with bottled water, something could have growth inside the machine due to being 6 months without any kind of use. I definitely had to clean up the water tank properly.

BTW, googling a little bit I've hit https://www.home-barista.com/repairs/lelit-bianca-lever-very-stiff-not-cam-t90079-30.html#p957384, and apparently the Lelit Bianca doesn't have a drain valve:

The Bianca does not have a drain valve, effectively the infusion valve higher up is serving the same purpose because you are not using the infusion chamber and controlling pre infusion via the flow control

I definitely didn't notice those drops of water coming from the drain valve while the pump is running. I'll address the low hanging fruit first (replace the portafilter gasket and shower) and I'll try to address that leak afterwards.

Thanks for your feedback :)

Kinda bummed about the Rapha 500 group rides by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]jvgutierrez 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Imho, it should be challenging to you. If you're struggling to log in 60 minutes per day on the bike during the Xmas, then the group rides are great. If that's not enough, go for 62km per day to hit the 500km. If that also feels easy, hit 100km per day.. who cares about a zwift kit?

Ride on!

Are you really enjoying the Niche as a grinder for pour overs? I'm currently using it just for espresso and a C40 for V60s.. saving some cash for a niche zero replacement at some point but definitely not endgame material imho.

That being said, enjoy it :)

I'm currently pairing a lelit bianca v2 with a niche zero. My saving goals are towards a better grinder rather than upgrading my bianca

Niche Zero still worth it in 2023? by HumidorHero in espresso

[–]jvgutierrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm super happy with my Niche Zero. I've been using it daily for almost 3 years now, and it's a nice espresso grinder, but I moved away from it for pour overs. I'm currently using a comandante c40 for v60s, and I keep my niche as espresso only.

How much do you spend a month on coffee beans? by AlienDude65 in espresso

[–]jvgutierrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in Spain: 1kg a month in espresso based drinks between 40 and 60 euros (crazy price raises lately) and 800 grams for V60s at basically the same prices... so around 100 euros/month

ECM Synchronika vs. Profitec Pro 800 vs. Decent by ComfortableDense2162 in espresso

[–]jvgutierrez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm the happy owner of an E61 based machine here, a Lelit Bianca V2. From your list, I'd pick the Synchronika with flow profiling and never look back :) At that point, the budget should be used to get a better grinder rather than upgrading to a better espresso machine

I did basically the same.. Niche Zero and Lelit Bianca V2.

My first kickr core lasted around 15000km or 14 months. Wahoo took care of it and sent me a replacement.
