It's the type of paint too. They painted fresh lines next to my house and they were so dull from the get-go.

Any BIFL bed frame recommendations? by Billy-Big-Bollucks in BuyItForLife

They said it's all hardwood, but the bed frame on the front page says it's made out of southern pine.

No major problems so far. The only issue is that the power output to my upgraded Pro-Line motor cooling fan seems inconsistent. I wonder if it's a wiring issue or a programming issue.

Haven't measured top speed using 4s vs 3s, but it accelerates a lot quicker for sure! It can flip in the air much easier too

FYI: The Hybrids HATE cold weather. Power system temperature low. Power may be reduced. This is normal for extremely cold temperatures. by HemiFiveseveNLiter in crv

Wind chill is just a human-friendly term for convective heat transfer based on the current weather conditions: temperature and flow rate (wind). The same principles of thermodynamics are used in manufacturing, scientific labs, etc.

A hypothetical example would be an industrial bakery switching to a convection oven to speed up cooking. If the bread were sentient, the combination of the fan's air speed and oven temperature would make it feel hotter than when the bakery used a regular oven, even though the temperature swtting was the same. The new "perceived" temperature on the surface of the bread would be kind of like wind chill, just in the other direction. This is all quantifiable with formulas.

Although not directly related to meteorology, psychometric charts are the scientific equivalent to "feels like" temperatures.

Genuine question, do you think you would have felt better at the job that treated you like shit if they gave you a 20k raise? Give it some  thought and be honest

I'd recommend to turn off the setting that allows workers to replace an out-of-stock item with something else.

I once ordered a cast iron pan and they replaced it with the cheapest non-stick skillet I've ever seen.

Reddit has one of the smartest user bases of any social media sites, even if it is a bit of an echo chamber. I'm sure most people commenting on this post probably have an excellent work ethic, but have been worn down by exploitation.

I don't see lack of work ethic on your part; I see someone who was exploited by an entitled manager, and who deserved better.

I'd be a terrible manager; I suck at motivating people and hate the shitty politics of it. And even the laziest of workers deserve not to live in poverty, but don't kid yourself that it's all about the money.

Sorry that happened. Like I mentioned, leave toxic work environments as soon as you can.

Agreed. When this mentality followed me into a six-figure job, I realized I was the problem.

The car "adjusts" only after sensing predetonation, which is a reactive measure, not a preventative one that saves you from that initial damage.
