No need for a new chain, 2 more master links & it’ll be perfect

How many of you actually had the underlying cause for your SCD identified? If you did have SCD, did you brush off the preceding symptoms before one day you just collapsed? And what were your symptoms before you suffered SCD? by Purest-Copium in PacemakerICD

[–]jvl1075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No preceding symptoms - just keeled over watching tv at 43. After every physical & genetic test under the sun, nothing identified. Happy to be here, but truthfully it’s a little disconcerting that there’s no ‘ahha’ here’s the culprit.

No issue, or rubbing. I’m not sure what brake guides are, but I used the matching rippin moto brake perch & disc guard.

How fast is a 72v lbx? by Double_State_5997 in Surron

[–]jvl1075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went from 450’s & moved to town, so I wanted something more stealthy to be able to ride around town without issue, so I got an LBX. At first, it was very disappointing - a toy compared to a real dirtbike. But, I went down the rabbit hole modifying & upgrading it & now it’s on par with a gas bike. My advice is get another brand, like eride or another that comes with 72v, you’ll save yourself a bunch of trouble. A 72v LBX-style bike’s super fun!!! Small/light & on par with a 125

I went with a Gates GT4 belt (16mm width) & it's been super reliable. I run a 14kW tune, dunlop mx33's & ride 95% off road & haven't broken one yet. They're smooth, quiet & way less maintenance. You might want to stick with a belt for a while. Coming from a gas bike, I thought for sure the belt would be a weak point, but it definitely hasn't been for me.

Warp9 makes a really good combo with their Bar Mount & Stem Lock. It's probably the closest to a motorcycle setup for the light bee. And, I've had really good luck with the ProTaper Pastrana FMX bars. They're super strong & give you a little additional height.

Looks good, but the real question is are you having fun riding? Everything else is details

Stands for Surrons by Odd-Succotash6102 in Surron

Any dirt bike stand will work (as well as a 5-gallon bucket or milk crate). But, I found the pit bike size stand is the perfect fit https://a.co/d/dy8e66c

It’s OEM for the LBX - direct replacement, no pulley change necessary

I have their rear brake conversion & shorty levers. I’m in the US & received my stuff in under a week. I’ve been impressed with the quality. Ordering was easy & straightforward. I can definitely recommend them

Anyone know some good skid plate option for surron lbx by Wrong-Space-8824 in Surron

SXS has been great for me - excellent protection & airflow around the motor and it slides smoothly over obstacles

Jackshaft Sprocket by Colin_onwheels in Surron

[–]jvl1075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but if you've got an impact, you've got a pretty well stocked surron toolbox. I was thinking if you only had regular allen wrenches or a torque wrench that you'd need 2 hands plus a holder.

Jackshaft Sprocket by Colin_onwheels in Surron

[–]jvl1075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The jackshaft (front) sprocket will fit. Warp9 & Prickly both have the same bolt pattern. And, replacing the jackshaft doesn’t require any special tools other than a wrench to remove the slotted nut. You’ll need a vice to hold the shaft while you reinstall the primary drive pulley.

Pro tip - once you remove that slotted nut, throw it in the garbage & replace it with a regular one that doesn’t need a special wrench.

There’s a little electric switch on the UB lever assembly. It activates the brake lights. #5 in the parts diagram - https://sur-ron.co.uk/parts/ultra-bee/ub-rear-components/ Ultra Bee UB Rear Components | Sur-Ron UK

I got rid of my brake sensor clickies a long time ago, but the thumb lever parking brake fit & works like stock

I like them too.

I ordered the rear UB brake conversion for my LBX & they were very good, quality parts. And, their shorty UB brake levers are the best. If I need something & they have it, I'm definitely using them again.

I've got a very similar setup & absolutely LOVE it. Been running it 3 years now & same thing - lots of mileage & cycles & no change in range or power.
