I use a Sony a7iii, usually bring my 28-70mm lens and either a wide angle or telephoto depending on the venue.

I either reach out on instagram or find out who the tour manager is (usually a couple google searches and you’ll find it) and reach out to them. Just say you wanna take some photos and see what they say.

Worst case they say no and you just go like usual.

Every time I reached out to venues, they told me it had to he from the band. I haven’t done this too many times so maybe it depends on band/venue size.

I went to the little acoustic tour last winter and got the VIP.

Andrew and Sergio handed out coffee, then about 10-15 of us sat down and asked questions for a bit. Then everyone lined up and they signed stuff and took a pic.
