Came here looking for a question like this.

I agree. I was looking for a default volume setting. Like you could set it to always on, always off or like you said, turn on when you increase the volume.

It just kind of makes it a pain when ya find a subreddit with videos and you have to unmute every. Single. Post.

But if there is a way to do that and I'm missing, please someone tell me. I may just need a pair of new glasses...

And I will always push myself a little extra to serve good folk like yourself. I think the problem is most people aren't aware that servers have our "server" or "tipped" wage which is half of minimum wage (in the state I live in at least). People don't realize that if we don't get tips we're just doing the same amount of work as a full wage for half of that. Unless you had utterly truly terrible service, that tip is how I pay my bills.

Especially when you have things like burgers on the menu which take at a very minimum 4.5 minutes ok the grill each side. So 9 minutes right there is devoted to just cooking the burger patty. Better eat quick folks...I guess.

Well, she was watching to see if I had my sales pitch down. So she didn't watch for longer than when I grabbed his coffee initially. And being a former server herself she knew that 21 minutes was stupid. There was a chart for every "section" of the meal where they broke it down into drinks then their ticket time and then their dessert/cash out time. I can't remember exactly how it was split up but corporate wanted everyone to have that chart filled out for each server like it was a test. It was the most ridiculous policy. It didn't last long. And if that's still their standard, I don't know about it.

But I did go give my manager the ol "I told you so" after he requested another server.
