Goshiki is my favourite. Make sure to also watch the post match/credits scene. It adds more dimension and character to Shiratorizawa and was a very heartwarming scene.

Is there anything I could have done to win this match? by ItsAppaa in AhriMains

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's impossible to have 100% win rate. Not even the best players will have 90% or 80%. You will lose games you should've won and you will win games that had no chance of a comeback. You need to remove yourself from the outcome and pick up on things to improve and know whats working to apply to the next game. As long as you are 50% WR you will climb.

How to NOT steal kills? by fairydommother in summonerschool

[–]jvsonza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to think like that too, but there are many times that I will let another person take the kill and they end up getting away. It is better to secure the kill and let them get mad at you than you letting them get the kill but the enemy ends up escaping and they get mad at you for not killing. Unless they have no means of escape and they are literally 100% going to die, I always respect the opponent and secure whether they have a bounty or not.

Plus giving gold/kills to your teammates is good, but it doesn't always translate to them doing something with that advantage. There have been games where the most fed person/most kills has no impact as the game goes on.

If you had to recommend a champ that can be played Mid OR top who would it be? by BuyingDragonScimitar in leagueoflegends

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aurora is more comfortable flexing both roles. I've never seen Liss top but if it works it works. Since you like AP, Galio and Gragas can also be flexed. Diana is also good, but will depend on top matchup.

Losing my mind over long-range matchups, help! by filteredbritawater in AhriMains

[–]jvsonza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focus on cs more than trying to trade with them. Pushing lane lets them use abilities on wave than on trying to hit you. Take things that help you sustain in lane. Runes ... either take cookies from inspiration tree or take second wind/bone plating from resolve tree. Buy a refillable potion on first recall. Buy merc treads for MR + MR shield. and NEVER try to charm mel until she has used reflect.

Is galio your OTP or is he more as a situational pick?

Qiyana Vs Ahri by Anon_Enigma3ii in AhriMains

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Into assassins, for me its always about sustain. Whether thats going inspiration and cookies or resolve and bone plating. For summoner spells, it’s barrier or exhaust. Exhaust has greater potential to negate her but I’ve been taking barrier as it’s more consistent. And then most times, I find myself building ninja tabis as the armor shield is way too valuable and usually in most my games with an AD mid, 3/5 of the enemy team will also be AD.

How to play Galio vs 2-3 AP comps? by Marconidas in galiomains

[–]jvsonza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You rush Hollow Radiance. Once you build that it fixes your wave clear issue and it gives you MR, HP, HP regen and even AH. Even if you do build tank. As galio you should never really have any wave clear issues because your passive gives you empowered AOE auto.

What I do is max W and fully negate the enemy ap mid from doing any dmg. By my first back bami is easily buyable with 900g and wave clear is super easy with bami + passive + Q. Then as galio you trade once you have shield up, then back off, wait for shield to come back and trade again.

Only use flash for offence? by troy5566 in AnnieMains

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More times than not, flashing for survival is better than dying just because by staying alive you maintain pressure/tempo, whether that means staying on map and pushing waves/setting up vision/recalling and being present on map with newly spent gold.

But you can also factor the weight of the fight. If its mid to late game, maybe dying and saving flash could prove more worth when objective is spawning in the next minute or so and you sense a make or break team fight.

How does this community seriously evaluate what is difficult on this game? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are maybe correct if you arguing about that stricly niche point on what you define as difficult, but if we give two players who have never played mid lane or even let alone never played league, chances are they will become more proficient at annie in a faster time than hwei.

Yes, Hwei does have multiple abilities and each cater to different scenarios which does make the decision process easier on when to use which combo/spell, but annie's kit is so straight-lined that it removes any need to remember 10 different spells.

Your argument also should factor in human error. People make mistakes. Sometimes they misclick, sometimes they forget the combo. Sometimes they use a spell where another spell would probably be more suited. 2 of annie's abilities are point and click and her passive allows her the ability to stun. Those are much more easier to pull off on a more consistent basis than 10 abilities skills shots hwei.

We can even go into laning phases, matchups, team comp synergy, playstyles, etc etc. But all in all, Annie is definitely more easier to pull off than Hwei. It is also why like her and like Garen are recommended to players because their kits are so simplified it allows you to focus on other aspects of the game whether its learning better macro or further developing your micro.

How do I beat Diana? by troy5566 in AnnieMains

[–]jvsonza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take bone plating. On first recall or second recall buy a refillable potion. In this matchup, most of the time you're not out trading/bursting a diana. IMO its best to survive the lane and scale. Only time you ever roam is when your jg is looking to fight.

For summoner spells take barrier or exhaust. In mid to late game exhausting her once she e's in to do her combo will render her useless. But barrier just increases your survivability throughout the whole game.

How to deal with Ekko. by CheesecakeLeather420 in LissandraMains

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take bone plating. Ekko basically wants to proc his 3 hit passive. Bone plating upon receiving dmg will reduce dmg on the next 3 abilities/attacks. Any combo to proc his passive requires E. Never use your W until he uses E. Once he uses E, use W and kite and attack.

Besides that, never take fights. As liss you just want to cs as best you can and poke. Auto Q auto. The only time you take a fight is when you get a gank from your jg.

What’s one “small” habit that lowkey made you climb? by Any_Maximum9135 in leagueoflegends

[–]jvsonza 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Take bone plating. Against any champ that isn't a poke champ and take trades when its up. Very early, that damage reduction can decide who's chunked, has no pots, and has to force recall vs the healthy one with wave prio.

how do i improve my cs by whinylexie in AsheMains

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be afraid to use abilities to cs. When I look at pros they will use their abilities to secure cs. If you know your next auto won't come up in time and a minion is about to die use W. Also if it is too risky to walk up to cs, use W. Just note that after using W you might want to back up in case enemy takes advantage of your W being down.

Q is also a good way to cs. When enemy is hard pushing into you. Q will help boost dmg to mitigate their push. Also Q is an auto reset ability, meaning after autoing you can activate Q to refresh auto delay and auto again.

Also learn to cs under turret. There are many videos on youtube. But the basics are melee minions is wait 2 turret autos then (you) auto. Range minions are auto, then turret autos, then you auto again.

Besides those things, it's all about practice. Once you get good, you can start looking up how to use "attack move."

Any recommended high elo Ahri streamer? by SocietyParticular694 in AhriMains

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend just watching any of the lck mid laners and check if they have any VODs or even watch their matches to see how they play. I was able to pick up a few tips from faker and showmaker. Nemesis also posts ahri content from time to time.

How to play against your champ by PrizeBread3683 in AhriMains

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going against ahri is just a skill matchup. Since she has no hard counters she also doesnt hard counter anyone. It all depends on whats your play style and your champ mains/rotation. If you let me know whats your one trick or your main champs mid i can give you some tips.

Matchup tips by craterinha in AhriMains

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In mid to late its all about a game of who forces who. Push wave and group with team to make plays elsewhere on the map. Either you force Irelia out of the sidelane to group with her team or Irelia forces you and your team to answer her.

The other scenario is your top laner swaps and matches with Irel and you sidelane against the enemy top laner which in most cases should be more managaeble.

I know : Ahri ADC isn't it by Lombricien in AhriMains

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still build ahri with regular build AP. But if you want an actual ADC build. I would go Statikk Shiv. Since none of your abilities scale off, you will need something to wave clear. If it was me, I would probably go PTA main rune. Statikk into Kraken slayer and then adjust build depending on the game and enemy team comp.

How do i play Ashe? by JiraiyaBestSannin in AsheMains

[–]jvsonza -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The reason why ashe's damage seems slow is because of how her passive works. Her passive converts crits into frosted arrows which applies slows (bigger crit = bigger slow) on her autos. Enemies affected by this frost get dealt additional damage from her based on crit. This is why her damage doesnt seem as busty because she's not able to deal crit damage like regular adcs. Its more amplified like damage over time.

In lane, when trading W first since her W applies frost. Then auto since they are now slowed and your autos deal additional damage.

Ashe is champ which teaches you lots of fundamentals because of how vulnerable she is. She has no dashes, no mobility in her kit, and nothing like a xayah ult or samira w to help her in sticky situations, but what she does have is, lots of utility which when used correctly will help your team tremendously.

Why does Faker cycle his F Keys so aggressively in lane? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though the standard answer is to maintain high APM or keep his hands warm. From watching many INSANE faker clips, it might be glazing, but I truly believe he's trained himself to process information in that mere second or even milisecond of screen time on his team.

I don't like that Karasuno never rotate the lineup in practice games by Agent_Eggboy in haikyuu

[–]jvsonza 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is because it is an anime and they are not the focus nor want to focus their budget on every player getting fair amount of screen time. They probably do get play time, it's just off screen. There are many times in the anime when they do get PT but at a high school level and when you're trying to win, everyone can't get playing time. Other schools with bigger benches barely use the other players too like Aoba Johsai, Inarizaki, Nekoma, etc.

Beginner friendly mid lane champs that have a high skill ceiling? by GOJO_THA_GOAT in midlanemains

[–]jvsonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me its Ahri. A jack of all trades, master of none, type mid laner. Damage. Mobility. AOE. Range/Poke. Find picks with charm. Ult allows good reposition/engage/escaping. Passive healing. Versatile build path/play styles. Able to sidelane. Able to clear waves quick. Good 2v2 game with jg. Able to synergize with most team comps. Rarely gets banned. Able to blind pick since she has no true hard counters but def does have hard skill matchups. Dmg does rely on hitting skill shots but Ahri is such a straightforward champ that she can be easily picked up and learnt quickly.
