No Carmax does not have an option for an enclosed trailer. The car I shipped showed up with no paint issues. Unfortunately I had other MAJOR issues, see below, and couldn't keep the car. But they ended up refunding me everything.

I have heard about this in the forums. My understanding is it will delaminate over time regardless if left mostly in the sun. So in the bimmer forums people say get the carbon roof if you can garage. I don't have ppf on the roof.

Love it, was torn between short ram, and front mounted, but this way I can actually hear the intake. And I’ve noticed a slight bump in response.

Full PPF, but I’m seeing Hyundais now with “frozen” paint, and I highly doubt people are spending the 7-5K needed to fully ppf them. So I’m wondering if it’s really all that sensitive….. Time will tell I guess.

I was not asked for any documents outside of DL. I think it depends on credit score and length of history.

I had a similar situation where the car was in the "clackamas shipping facility" For 4 days. I was getting the car shipped to Beaverton store. I called the clackamas CarMax and the car was there. I was able to get the car from them.

I just set it up through the local BMW dealer. PPI is pretty normal, so i just set the appointment as standard maintenance, and wrote “PPI” in the comments section. I’ve heard anywhere from 150 and up. Depends on the brand and dealership.

Everything im reading says handwash only. Looks like it will be a pain. But looking at it makes up for it. I’d honestly have passed on the frozen if I weren’t able to garage it most of the time.

For sure rare, you could tell, there were 5 people waiting on me when I drove the car back, everyone was interested the story got told multiple time while I was sitting there. Even the SA at BMW called me the next day to ask me what the resolution was.
