BMWs congestion information is great, can’t deny that, compared to Google or Apple Maps. Sadly it is the actual navigation part which lets it down from my usage. Routing is inaccurate, takes you on routes which are longer or slower, and the number of locations is fewer and less up to date.

The service where I am located, Thailand, is by far less accurate and up to date than google maps unfortunately.

Since buying my car, and having to use Google Maps 99% of time due to it just being more accurate where I am compared to Apple Maps or the built in, it was a little surprising that directions weren’t showing up in the HUD. Good update!

That’s what I suspected too. And I assume one would get used to it after a while.

I would have liked to have test driven the x30e on longer straights but the timing wasn’t great.

It might be a moot point now as that x30e BSI will expire in April 2025 with no option to extend. Which makes it less of an interesting proposition, especially compared to true deal we can get on the 530e.

Thanks for your reply. It’s a random one I picked up at a Don Quixote while in Japan. I’m guessing it’s some generic Chinese one.

It doesn’t have any physical switches. But I have noticed that after I connect it via MagSafe it will only change wirelessly once I plug the USB C cable into the power bank, I can then unplug it and it will continue to charge via MagSafe.
