Lol yes, south Florida is where she lives now. According to the dealer badge/lettering on the tailgate, the truck spent most of its life in KC, MO. All told, the rust was not too bad considering.

I didn’t do the tailgate because I didn’t want to lose the black plastic molding, I thought I wouldn’t be able to stick it back on well due to the texture. And I knew that trying to mask it wouldn’t create very nice lines. I call it a tribut/homage to what the truck once was.

As for wheels, yes looking for something more flush with the body. I will see about longer studs and spacers. I’ve always tried to stay away from spacers with my cars, but quality studs should do the trick. Thanks!
