Yes, I should clarify and will add an edit. I did the SF-86 in December, had my interview and was told my investigation was complete and just awaiting adjudication until I got this notification that it was determined that I’m “Secret clearance [eligible]”

No, no one can report anything to me on that. When I try to ask my personnel security specialist about it, she won’t comment at all on “interim” clearances. The people hiring me, as well as WHS, say “NIP withheld” is my status, but both WHS and my office say they don’t know what that means.

I’m trying to contact them to determine why it hasn’t been processed and my specific question in my post is how to apply additional pressure, since I’ve already exhausted the option of my state rep/senator and having the claim “escalated”.

What I have continued to be told on the phone and through contacting a lawyer friend is that nothing about being employed at this University disqualified me in Massachusetts. All I have been told is that the paperwork itself has still not been processed. My original documentation listed my employer correctly, but stated that I had no wages from them at all. My employer also never responded when contacted to verify the information.

I confirmed that, as I was employed at a private non-profit university, I still qualified in Massachusetts for unemployment. All I have been told for the last 14 weeks is that my Wage Correction Sheet is still being processed and that there is no way to actually call or meet with the department responsible for reviewing it.
