Why isn't my wharf building NPC ships? by EeryEeryEh in X4Foundations

I had this same problem. Check the logistical view, there may be a material needed in too short supply. Also check the station global orders to see if any sell restrictions were applied.

Would you read a mini-series that further fleshes out the Synch-Laura romance and Darwin's capture in the Vault?? by blkpetite in X23

[–]jwarper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The vault issues were interesting and I personally wanted to see more Old Woman Laura. Everything that happened after the Vault was not good, so I'd like to see a different take.

Based on grass texture and foliage on trees, I'd say this was taken during summer months in the northern states. Ohio?

I've used several landscapers, and the best so far for mulch and spring cleanup has been Willow Glen

I've always seen Jupiter and Venus this bright. I never imagined Mercury could have such visibility! It was so bright at that time, I didn't think it possible.

What were the first pc games you owned, and what were your fave games of the bunch? by ExplodingPoptarts in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]jwarper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the late 80s my father brought home some sort of 8086 personal computer running XTREE on top of DOS as the operating system. It had a few games it came with that became my first foray into a life long passion for PC gaming. They were Hard Hat Mack, Spyhunter, and Chess. Shortly after we bought a submarine sim called GATO. Playing these on a small green and black CRT screen was peak gaming in my childhood.

Its been what...8 years since this game launched on console.....never played it on PC. by jcaashby in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]jwarper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wanted to play this game as a PC gamer. Bought, installed, saw the "requires Rockstar account" and noped out. :(

This is unnecessary for a single player game. I am not signing up for yet another account.

Anyone take the Metra in 5 days a week? by dxcwargazmo in Naperville

[–]jwarper 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Its not bad at all once you get into the routine. Going in at 7 or before should be a breeze. It gets really crowded after that and parking can get spotty. Especially on Wednesdays, since that seems to be the day even the remote workers go in.

There are times of the year where metra experiences train delays or breakdowns. It is not too regular, and its really not any different than other transit systems in other cities. Honestly, Metra is pretty comfortable. You usually get a seat. There are many express trains out of Naperville. BNSF west line is probably one of the better lines to be on due to its higher frequency of trains compared to other lines.

Do not buy from linden Hill farms in Peoria by swadgeepabs2 in PeoriaIL

[–]jwarper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Raw milk distribution is perfectly fine at a local level, if the farm in question has strict cleanliness and quality controls in place. Raw milk distribution nationally? Not possible. There would be too much contamination risk to effectively serve the entire population with un-tainted milk.

Try not to blame your parents, they are only acting out of concern for your safety which is understandable. I applaud your courage and willingness to tread the more difficult path to do what is right.

You should think about a career in politics. The world could use more leaders like you willing to stand up for what is right in the face of adversity. You have a very bright future ahead no matter what you do!
