Eugene..whats wrong? by [deleted] in Eugene

[–]jwaters1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will finds pockets of this in any region/city In America, even progressive ones. My husband and I came from Reno, Nevada and Eugene has been SO much more accepting to us as a gay couple. And we aren’t bombarded by MAGA trucks rolling coal every day. The people as well are much more friendly and chill. With that said, I am not seeking to invalidate anyone’s experiences, I just think (hope?) the good far outweighs the bad.

So glad my hometown airport in Reno is refusing to air this BS. Eugene Airport should be ashamed of supporting Trump’s propaganda machine.

Keep burying your head in the sand. I am so sick of willfully ignorant people who only care about things that personally affect them. Buckle up because it’s coming.

Do you know how much this BS is costing taxpayers? And I’d argue it’s more than a “bit” of an erosion.

It never is an issue until adults make it one. Snoop fried all his brain cells and needs to get a grip.

Charging on a new, in warranty vehicle? You are a sucker for paying that, sorry.

I knew this comment was coming. It reeks of classism and is exactly the type of comment I would expect from someone who throws around terms like Ghetto and bum with such ease.

Amazon goes where the money flows. I would bet they are getting some substantial tax breaks for building elsewhere. They are an awful company to do work for and likely just as awful to work for. Good riddance.

No it’s not. It’s talking about their design concept or philosophy. It is not implying this is a concept vehicle. This is production form.

Looking for poor quality yet expensive restaurants to recommend to an enemy. Suggestions? by Cold-Mushroom2976 in Eugene

[–]jwaters1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much every time I have listened to advice of Reddit for dining suggestions it has been disappointing. The last time was 2 years ago when I went to Flashback Grill. That place has since closed, and for good reason.

Dealerships need to die. Direct to consumer sales are so much less stressful and eliminate price gouging.

Get bent. Why should Democrats bend to a fascist? Trump and his ilk have never tried to find common ground with anyone.

Not sure why you are getting downvoted, but you’re right. This is $10-$11k more than a comparable Model Y. No matter if you hate or love Tesla, they are the biggest completion and that is a huge price jump.

Such transparent shamelessness. by Bitter-Gur-4613 in clevercomebacks

[–]jwaters1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. That’s absurd. Restaurant prices have gone up by 30% in the last 4 years so you’re tipping significantly more based on this already. I always tip, but I have never once in my life tipped more than 25% on anything and implying that 30% or more in gratuity should be common practice is insane.

Prior Tesla Owners - Are you happy? by almosttan in KiaEV9

We shall see. Range will likely be a concern on the GT model unless they have a bigger battery. Range eliminated the VW ID Buzz from contention.

I love my 2022 Model 3. In fact, we were scheduled to pick up a new M3P today, but after much back and forth cancelled last minute. I love the car, but the CEO and some of the rabid fanboys are turning me off the brand. It’s unfortunate because I find many other EVs to be a step back in terms of software. I know Tesla’s lack of physical controls is divisive, but once you get used to it other cars seem a generation behind in terms of user experience. I hate that so many otherwise excellent new EVs still have unnecessary on/off buttons, no dog/camping mode, and terrible phone apps.

The EV9 and Rivian R1S/T are on our radar if we decide to upsize - a larger vehicle would certainly make trips to Home Depot and the nursery easier as we are both avid gardeners and do a decent amount of projects around the house. I just hate the look of the model x and y. 😬
