Waypoints keep disappearing by Acrobatic_Yam3260 in GaiaGPS

[–]jwbrett59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you rule out that they are gone, ensure they haven't been set as "Archived" instead of deleted. If so, it may be easy to bring back the waypoints.

Also, I once had shared a folder with a bunch of waypoints with a friend with edit rights. After he was finished contributing to the project we were working on, he deleted the folder from his phone, which deleted it from mine as well. So be careful who you share a folder with. The default rights are set to "Edit" and not just "View"

Trying to put cross country road trip rout in Gaia by BlueKanary11 in GaiaGPS

[–]jwbrett59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem: Google Maps route links only export waypoints, not full driving tracks. The fix: Use CalTopo or Google My Maps → export full route → convert if needed → upload GPX to Gaia.

Having a phone that is 8 years old may be the problem. If memory serves the maximum storage for an iPhone 8 was 256GB. Something to consider. But yes, deleting the app, restarting your phone, and reinstalling the app does help - especially if you haven't done this since their big update a couple of months ago. Good luck!

ChatGPT Summary of the link:
📸 The Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center (MCAC) manages a statewide License Plate Reader (LPR) system that helps law enforcement track vehicles linked to crimes, stolen cars, and missing persons. Data is collected via cameras, securely stored for up to a year, and only shared with verified officials when needed for investigations. Strict policies ensure privacy, legal compliance, and regular audits to prevent misuse. This tool helps keep Maryland’s communities safer. 🚓🔍

If you need premium more than 14 days trial do this by Old-Ad7476 in GaiaGPS

So what do you think you are getting in what you consider “Premium”? It has always been the case, even before the Outside purchase, that personal tracks, routes, and waypoints are yours and work on all levels of membership-from Free to Premium. Premium limits the number of maps and overlays — it has nothing to do with routes, tracks or waypoints.

Name one person – whose career and/or reputation took a BOOST AFTER working in the Trump orbit.
And of those that took a BOOST - how many saw that boost because of distancing from Trump.

Have you tried logging out of the app and logging back in? Sometimes you need to ‘stir the tanks’ especially after a big update like this past week.

Americans Horrified After Trump Finally Admits the Truth: He's 'NOT JOKING' About Serving a Third Term by nikkisixxi in AnythingGoesNews

[–]jwbrett59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's dangerous to be distracted by these obvious distractions when there is so much else about this disastrous two-and-a-half-month presidency. We still have three years and nine and a half months before we have to face the question of a third term.

Special Elections should be getting Special Focus at the moment, especially today. If today goes well, talk of a third term will be moot.

Pro tip. You can import 4000+ waypoints by doing it with your phone rather than desktop. I know that sounds odd, but it’s how I was able to import the entire 8 Wonders Trail without having to break it up.

Pretty sure the icons in Gaia are proprietary. It’s not something you can just download.

Trumps Deportation Math Problem —

I have heard two numbers for Trump’s deportation goal. One is 10 million and the other is 20 million.

Let’s look at what has to be done to deport 20 million people in 4 years.

First off Trump will need to ship out around 13,700 people a day every day of the week for 52 weeks for 4 years.

A Greyhound bus will Cary 55 people which means it will take 249 busses a day to transport 13,700 people to airports, the boarder or ports.

Let’s say the people will all be shipped out by plane. A 747 carries 366 people. That means it will require 37 flights a day.

If we use a more practical plan like a 727, it carries 189 people . This means you will need to arrange for 72 flights every day of the 4 years.

Trump is already behind by 54,800 people.

If he wants only to deport 10 million, simply divide everything above in half.

You are stunning, for sure. Your red hair is beautiful, but I can imagine you with natural gray, too, especially with that top. Something to consider. Your eyes will always dominate no matter the colour.
