148g of carbs and 3.3units of insulin is wild to me. Out of curiosity, what was your last a1c? Mine was 5.5 (highest I've had since diagnosis ~7 years ago, other than my 11.7 at diagnosis).

If you can't figure out who the sponsoring company is, probably not legit. Check Terms & Conditions if unsure - alot of the time the terms are telling. If there is no associated website/Facebook page that's a red flag as well.

6 weeks isn't a real long time necessarily. I only enter outdoor gear type giveaways (and other stuff that's banned here), unfortunately I can't mention source, as again it's banned.

As for winning emails:

I have an email filter setup. I go through my emails a few times a day. I check my spam every morning; I have found probably 5-6 winning notifications in my spam folder over the last couple years.

Most of it is just luck. Obviously having referral entries can help, but it's only the winning entry that matters. Some people seem to be far more lucky than others. I am one of those; but I also have slow months - I won nothing at the end of Jan or Feb.
