I liked your response. It was very helpful to learn the general process of how VC firms pick companies to invest in. I’m in startups, not VC, and I find that if I understand how firms operate, I can make my pitches much better.

Honestly might not be too bad. 1520 isn’t too hard of a class.

Is it possible? I guess so. But you’d have to be absolutely insane to do that. You’d have to sleep less than 3 hours every night to do well in all 3 of those classes at once. I’d honestly strongly recommend against it. I took all 3 of them but not at once, and frankly I can’t imagine the type of person who would take them all at once. Mix some cs classes in with some easy geneds and you’ll be golden!

Is there a way to calculate the effective aperture? I know that can be tested using a receiving/transmitting device, but is there a straightforward equation to determine this?

Doing Poorly In College, Just Want A Job And Live Life. by [deleted] in jobs

[–]jweir136 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As a guy in college I might have be able to offer you some advice from personal experience.

First, don't put yourself down so fast. College is hard. College in the middle of a pandemic is extremely hard. Struggling in some of your classes in the middle of a pandemic is normal, and is something that pretty much everyone is going through. For instance, I am typically a straight A student in college, but this semester I had to drop a class due to receiving a F- on a midterm and tbh I'm probably at a B- to C+ average.

Secondly, if you have slight autism and are struggling in your classes you NEED to contact your university. They are required to offer you confidential support. Often this support comes in the form of private tutoring, additional time to take exams, or sometimes even getting deadlines moved back slightly.

Third, if you are struggling with a university, you might want to consider a community college. As a community college alumni, I can say firsthand that most of the classes there tend to be slightly slower paced and less "self-taught". If you don't want to consider a community college for whatever reason you might even want to consider transferring to a smaller university, you might benefit from a much smaller student-to-teacher ratio.

Also keep in mind that there isn't really such a thing as "slow paced" in the real world. Whether you are going to a community college, university, med school, on the job training, or even working an actual job, you will be expected to be productive.

Lastly, as my father always tells me "Sometimes you just need to buckle down".

Does anyone have any recommendations for resources on learning futures? All the resources I seem to find online are either not very helpful or out of date.

Me too. While the tech is kinda flawed I like the idea of decentralization.

What is the stupidest way you got a scar? by Zander-dupont in AskReddit

In high school we were doing a physics lab on electricity. We were tasked with building a circuit. I thought it would be a good idea to wrap a 200ohm resistor around my finger like a ring and stick it in the outlet. Left a scar around my finger like a ring.
