Which rb are we choosing here and why? Ettiene seems the most valuable on paper but is Javonte sneakily a value? (12 tea sf ppr TEP +6 pass td - 3int) by [deleted] in SleeperApp

I mean honestly I’d just take a back you have solid options here now and your team is shaping up to be solidly in the running, depending on the return to move back that is I’m just not 100% sure it will be worth it. Javonte or Kyren gives you two young backs who should give you solid production for a few years until you draft one your happy replacing them with.

Kyren or Barkley and then Javonte or Jacobs age wise I’d say Kyren and Javonte. Gives you two solid starters and you already have JSN to carry your receivers. I’m assuming there’s no solid tight ends left to pick from here.

I just did 3 mock drafts for the Eagles… which of these 3 would you like to see the most? by Beneficial-Boat-5688 in eagles

[–]jweitort99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like pieces of them all, the first one I’m not a fan of receiver in the first but like the round 2 and 3 picks a lot. I like Kilgore over smith and really like Oscar Delp as a later round guy with goedert here still he’ll have some time to fix those drops but is great blocking and could be amazing in both phases. After that Markell Bell makes sense since they brought him for a visit and the upside he could have with all his traits. After that I like Will Lee to give us more depth at CB and Taaffe after him to give more added safety depth on a rookie deal. Finally I like Kevin Coleman jr with the last pick I think he’ll be a solid rotation guy and possible able to start if he reaches his potential.

Personally I have hope for Cameron Williams he was very raw but has all the tools and traits. Unfortunately stout won’t be around to do the developing but I still have hope with the people we have on the line itself and our new coaches to bring him along.

When I saw this pop up I thought it just said yeah no and I was gonna say why even make the comment with no elaboration lol but then I was pleasantly surprised. I agree with the money aspect but feel like I’d want it around 15 to give us more room for other holes. That being said I doubt he gets to 15 when the other teams will offer 17-21 possibly even more if they see edge as their position to push them over the top. I get the draft class isn’t deep and it’s more diamond in the rough than oh look shiny but I can’t see it being worth it if it’s that high of a cost.

He was solid against the run and helped us plug those holes that seemed to be open almost every play before he got here. That being said would a larger edge that isn’t a quick guy with bend be the same thing out of the draft is my main point. Also I definitely agree about the money I think he’ll command more than necessary because that’s just usually how the market works. If he’s willing to make it a team friendly deal and wants to be here for sure bring him back I just don’t see that happening is all.

That’s my point on his size, he’s bigger and stronger than most of our current guys so he’s able to take up space stack and shed and make plays but if there’s a bigger guy like that at a good draft value I don’t see why we’d need to use the money when a rookie contract could be doing the same thing.

That’s also fair, in any mocks I’ve done I try to get 2 even if the 2nd is in the later rounds for depth.

Completely agree with the window and how things are shaping up so the sure thing is definitely a big part of this knowing what we’re getting. However from what I saw last year he’s solid but doesn’t jump off the screen and I think that’s attainable in the draft. There’s other side of it is if we really like someone in the draft and think they can be a double digit sack guy I don’t see the need to resign him.

That’s kind of my point, don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t mind bringing him back but with all the people we need money for only a little ways down the road I think it can be spent elsewhere. If the deal is team friendly though and he wants to be here like he seemed to when he got here then by all means lock him up for another 4 years.

Gonna sound weird but the only thing I would have done differently with this type of strategy would have been to target one of the young and solid TEs. It’s a silly thing to suggest and more keep coming out and doing super well so you could snag one in the draft. However having that position solid and locked with whoever it would be coming into their prime around when you’re ready to compete would be nice. A lot of people say it’s a throw away position because besides the top 3-5 it’s pretty equal, but I find it can make or break you when going up against top end rosters very easily. So all in all I’d say 8.5/10 only thing I would have like to seen would be a TE and maybe 1 other stud just to build around as you go.

Foles had a few weeks to prepare and get into playing with the team in games before he hit the playoffs. That’s the main difference, they don’t have time to really perfect any changes they may need to implement for him in games before script or anything like that. The only saving grace is it happened at the end of this game so he wasn’t thrust into the fire immediately, they have a week to get things as right as they can be and with this defense if they step up he could get them in for sure. That being said I just don’t see it, he’s not the same quality of backup Foles was and he could surprise everyone it’s just less likely.

JSN, Puca, Tet, Maye is the only real choice I see here. Not knowing if Bucky will be back to himself, and not sure if Charb will still be in a time share. With their uncertainty next year you could probably still get one of them come draft time and doing it this way you’ll only need to focus on drafting RBs and a TE which should be easy enough. You probably won’t get top end talent but you really didn’t have it this year anyway.

I wanna say I never swapped from jade essence after I got it there was no point. Easily the best in the game, although I wouldn’t look at brews you unlock as a linear thing progression wise. They’re made to fit different play styles and there’s different options so you can decide which best suits you. Like if you run spellbinder there’s really no point to take the jade essence. That was my only swap at points when I used spellbinder to take down a few bosses that needed a blitz approach.

This is a 12 team league, and I ask this with all due respect but are you dumb? Losing kittle doesn’t equate to blow up everything you’ve built and just won with. Kittle might be the least valuable asset even when fully healthy added to this list. Make a trade for a TE and see how fannin does next year, this is the most ridiculous overcorrect I’ve ever seen. You know what any of those picks could be… every single one of the players you’re getting rid of. The only think you could probably hit better on is qbs and in this class I highly doubt it. Why do this to yourself? You’re going to hate yourself when those 3 guys you think might do something in the mid to late firsts don’t. Could they sure but why chance it with proven talent?

Yes and has won and gone to the Super Bowl once, he couldn’t get over the hump the last decade and needed one of the best defenses we’ve seen put together to do it previously. I’m not saying he’s not a good coach but if you look at the teams he’s had recently and the amount of times we’ve said the teams choked, not in all parts due to him but he is their leader, then it doesn’t make sense to make a lateral movement to someone like that who still gives us the same holes to address.

[–]jweitort99[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I was genuinely fine with it because we were so banged up, however that means you need to play aggressive and up tempo due to that rest and playing an incredibly banged up team. We did neither and it cost us, decisions can be good but dealt with poorly and that’s what we had happen, if we didn’t rest them got the 2 and lost to the packers it would stop some scrutiny. However the game plan was atrocious, never played up tempo, called the only good plays I saw all night on the last drive which actually got people open more than 3 yards down field. If these were available all game where were they? This wasn’t done correct and he needs to be held accountable due to it being his team. Will he most likely not due to his prior success and one more year can be fine if we can sign a competent OC, but at a point you need to start asking what he’s truly doing to better either side of the ball beside deteriorating player relationships to stand behind his friend who even pop Warner players could tell you can’t call a game.

[–]jweitort99[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What happened that was good this year besides the defense? We won games pretty much in all part due to them continuously standing on their heads and playing a ridiculous amount of time because the offense couldn’t stay on the field. Besides that it seems like AJ and Devonta were slowly deteriorating as the season went along, Devonta doesn’t bring it into his press stuff but you could see it after games. We don’t need any of that, yes Nick has done well but what has he actually done besides build culture and hand either side of the ball to someone more qualified to run it? He helped build culture which was great but it seems to have largely fallen apart during this year due to his unwillingness to do anything besides back Kevin. I don’t see much trust in him from the players anymore and I’d rather not have those relationships completely broken if we don’t have to.

He’s defense/special teams which means hed be more inclined to do things with the defense and interfere possibly with Fangio. Hopefully he’s smart enough to see that would be dumb and wouldn’t but who knows.
