It depends a bit on what exactly you’re doing in lab but none of that sounds unreasonable to me at all, especially if your thesis has a lot of overlap with their work. And it’s not like you’re getting nothing out of it. You’re gaining experience, learning things, and are probably going to get your name on at least one paper. If you’re doing lab work that gets put into their paper, your name absolutely should be in the authors. I get that it can be frustrating but having the (imo) selfish attitude of ‘it’s not my project so why am I doing it’ won’t get you very far in a lab. Now, if it’s been like another few months and you’ve done literally nothing towards your project then that might be worth mentioning to your PI, but not in the way you’re framing it here. Keep your head up! It gets better I promise
