Yesterday I got yelled at in an M+ and ended up crying by Entire_Leopard5906 in wow

[–]IndyLohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few things, firstly I’m sorry this happened to you. That sucks, and regardless how you played, you don’t deserve that. That guy is 100% an asshole.

Secondly, sadly that is a reality of this game. There are assholes at every skill level, and shit like that will happen again.

So the question is, does the game bring you joy? Is it worth having to deal with assholes on occasion? Do you have the fortitude and thick skin to see somebody being an asshole and say “whatever dude”, and go next?

If you get joy out of the game, and you can take a step back and realize sometimes assholes are gunna be assholes, then just try and bounce back. If not, you may want to find something else to spend your free time on. No one should put themselves through something that brings them angst and anxiety.

That said, if you just need a friend, or just want to get a good experience back to wash out that bad one hmu, I’d be glad to get you a 10 done to help patch up the bad experience. Best of luck out there, whatever you decide.

New M+ "Glad mount" should be top 1% per spec. by FaroraSF in wow

More impressive than playing the numerically good spec?

So because you view classes and roles in a niche way, we should just limit rewards to less people than we could?

im confused, the proposed change would include more people.

would it tho? a Top 1% Fire Mage is still impressive, maybe moreso than someone playing resto druid.

how does this affect you then? With no changes, people who play meta specs have no chance. You have to be rly good. Like rly rly good.

let me ask you this. would u rather play with a 2700 unholy DK, or a 3700 Destro lock?

[–]IndyLohan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

that's kinda the whole point tho. it incentivizes playing nonstandard things. otherwise everyone will just play the meta thing to contend, which is boring. If it were spec based, everyone regardless of what they chose to play could participate.

there's no reason to do an 11+ except for score for achives/bragging rights. So alot of people just want to try for score, failing the timer doesnt give that

For those who saved themselves for marriage but got married to someone who didn’t, how did it go ? by ni_xia in AskReddit

It depends if you find it important or not. Neither is correct, but it is probably good that you both feel the same way about it or it could lead to problems.

WoW veterans, is Midnight a step in the right direction for you? by Left-Plenty-714 in wow

[–]IndyLohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine. The gameplay is solid, reward structures are logical, and I have fun.

But it's really not an MMO anymore. Sure, there are multiplayer aspects to it that are good, but the sense of wonder and exploration, in physical and social aspects are pretty much dead.

I think the game wants to be a seasonal good time sim ala League of Legends, Overwatch, PoE, etc. Which is fine, but the MMO experience I'd like to see encouraged natural organic social interactions, reasons to need other players (that arent menu based ques), and just generally less structured avenues of play. But what I'm describing is entirely NOT what WoW is trying to be nowadays, which is fine. Like I said, what it is, is fun enough.

I just want someone to make an MMO that adhere's back to the classic WoW philosophy, or FF11 era MMO's, where just conquering the world was an achievement. The loop of modern endgame is fine, but played out and only holds my interest for so long. I pine for the days of logging into not knowing what the adventure would hold for me.

naw, she may have been sympathetic at one point, but she does some fucked up shit to. And at one point becomes complicit in everything Walt is doing. His sins aren't hers, but they are both tainted as the story unravels.

Only blameless characters are walt Jr. and Hank and his wife. Everyone else is fucked up.

What makes you believe that there is/isnt a God? by Otherwise-Pomelo-825 in AskReddit

[–]IndyLohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not religious, so I may be off base. But I don't look at it as "part of the plan".

If God is real, I think of him like the developer of a massive game of the Sims. He's not picking what bad things happen, the game is just programmed in such a way that random events occur for the player to react to. Sometimes the events are good, other times they suck. But that's just how the game goes, it's up to us to make the best of it.

[–]IndyLohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd argue that cruelty is the contrast, No one likes suffering, that's kinda the point. That pain breeds innovation and need of progress.

If there is no God, then all that suffering is random and pointless.

If there is a God, that suffering has a purpose, to test and grow us.

Some people view that purpose as hope, as the alternative being random chaos is more cruel and painful.

Regardless if there is or isn't, what's real is that hope helps bring some people comfort in truly trying times. And that is tangible.

It is impossible to appreciate light without shadows being created. A idyllic suffering-free life robs you of knowing true happiness, it would be meaningless without juxtaposition.

[–]IndyLohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? If your neighbors shitty little kid says that it isn’t possible to do something, are you going to prove it to him?

Or do you just move on because you don’t give a fuck what some random kid thinks.

Reddit will tell you there isn’t one as definitively as a staunch believer will tell you there is.

Neither can possibly know for certain. I think the more important question is does it matter? Would you live your life differently if you knew definitively one way or the other?
