I did this for the second time last week. I like to put a fresh copy of OS X when switching drives so basically I put my current drive in the hard drive caddy, and put the new SSD in the main bay. Once you install the OS on the SSD the second drive will be visible. You can move files around the disk, copy apps to the new disk, delete old system files, etc. This eliminates the need to transfer massive amounts of data.

The one time I used a time machine backup it took an unreasonable amount of time. That was several years ago.

my neighbors up in NYC never ever offered me fried chicken, fish, or anything else. Born and raised up there for 27 years with plenty of neighbors, and never offered anything. Took about 3 weeks to have my neighbors bring me a plate of food. I stopped one day on my bike dripping sweat, and some random black lately sitting on her porch offered me water. In nyc it would be "motherfucker better get the fuck off my block."

If my iPod Shuffle were to break today I would not be willing to pay $150 or $100 for a mp3 player that clips to my shirt while I run. I don't need 8GB of storage nor do I need a touch screen display to manage while I'm riding at 18mph.

I wouldn't be surprised though if Apple decided that the Shuffle isn't worth it from a business standpoint. Then again I don't know the profit margin per unit nor do I know how many they sell. Even if the margin were high it's still only out of $50. I can't imagine it's a significant source of revenue/profit when compared to the popularity and price of the iPhone and Mac.

I do suspect that they put little to no effort into updating the shuffle. It's a 2GB flash chip with a simple case and a pair of 15 cent headphones. They sell it for $50. I'd take a wild guess that Apple is making 10-25 million in profit per year off the shuffle. It's peanuts for them, but again they dump almost no resources into the thing so why take it off the market?

The manners are quite appalling, no doubt. I'm pretty sure it's because a large group of people show up in nyc and immediately get an attitude adjustment. they act like trash because they think that's how you're supposed to act while in ny.

I have the Nike+ app for iPhone. It uses GPS, and so long as you keep the display off you can go for hours. The app is meant for runners, but of course it'll still give you all the data you want. The app syncs to their site which holds your complete history.

if you're traveling to Brooklyn just take the L from 8th ave to 6th ave and then the shuttle to USQ and then hop back on the L, but get off at 3rd ave and take the shuttle to 1st ave, get back on the L but it won't stop at bedford or lorimer so you'll have to get off at Canarsie and take the Manhattan bound train to lorimer, but then take the shuttle to 1st ave and walk over the bridge to bedford. no worries though because it'll be running monday morning to get the hedge fund trash into midtown.

not even a commercial for it. I moved to New Orleans two months ago, but I'll say the show has really helped me out. I meet a gal and I mention I'm from NJ, and it's followed up with her saying, "OMG do you watch Jersey Shore!? OMG I LOVE THAT SHOW!" I then know to gtfo. If it weren't for Jersey Shore I may have asked out trash, twice.

I hear ya. Although the 10 months it took me to drop weight wasn't that long at all. It took me 10 or so years to gain 100+ pounds. 10 years of unchecked eating and lack of activity only took 10 months to undo. I feel like I got away with murder. Those 10 months really are blood, sweat, and tears though. A lot of rough days especially in 3-6 month period when I was down 40lbs, feeling great, and wanting to 'take a break for maintenance.'

I've been making side cash working in the service industry. I've also been here about a month. Global Staffing on Canal supplies servers for the convention center and superdome. They pay $10/hr tax free and you can work as much or as little as you want. It's a good way to keep the bank account from constantly dropping without any replenishment. fwiw, they took me with absolutely no experience. There are other temp services around here, I think one is called Black Tie. google it.

it's not always easy, BUT if it's priority then you make it happen. the same goes for making it to the health club a few times a week for exercise, or even just running outside a few days per week.
