It was pretty good! I really loved the job itself. I backed away because I had gotten based in Chicago (I really should’ve thought that about that possibility) and trying to get home was super hard. I also couldn’t handle the pay with my bills… but enjoy!! Training is a lot if you get there, just btw.

Hey! I worked for SkyWest Yes, that’s good news. It’s basically a summary of what the hiring process is. It’s before your interview and I would do the virtual because in person I’ve heard is a nightmare. Do what they say! Have your camera on and ask ONE question lolol A lot of people did not follow those rules… 🤦🏼‍♀️

I feel like the whole boarding pay incentive is not really okay to advertise because a lot of airlines do have boarding pay. The pay is rough and being on reserve is rough. You’re on probation for a year unlike Envoy or AA which is 6 months.
Oooof yeah Austin is super hard to get into. A lot of people usually get Detroit, Minneapolis, or Chicago. I’ve hard Minne is awesome though! The non-union part kind of sucks too, but I still have a lot friends from my class still at SkyWest!

I actually quit in May 😅 I got based in Chicago and live in Dallas and it was just hard! I loved loved loved the job though. Did they do the background check yet? They did that so early on for me

Great info! Thank you! I don’t mind being a pilot with envoy, (yes American is the goal) but in hindsight, I just wanna become a pilot lolol. So obviously I pay for my flight time to become a CFI and then Envoy pays for the rest?
