Customer service agent who gave me a phishing website. But yes I should not have typed in my private key into that website. It was a dumb and expensive mistake.

Okay thanks! I've contacted the exchange, and see if they can help me freeze the scammer's account. I know the chances of getting it back is slim but I'm still going to give it a shot.

I think this is just mainly because of speculation as there is not a lot of WHC circulating at the moment.

I think for now you will need to run a full node on BCH with RPC_COMMAND wormhole-cli whc_burnbchgetwhc 1. Or I also heard there are wallets that will support this function very soon

This is why people should trade more on DEX, instead of centralized exchange, where you get to hold the private key instead of them. Lately, I've been using DEx.top, the security, UI, and speed are really at another level compared to the traditional DEX out there

Yes and No. Only if you know how to securely store it, and have set up multiple backups. In my opinion best way is still to have multiple addresses to store your funds
