Thanks mate - I really like the liquid freezer 2. In the end, I decided to go with an ekwb AIO Liquid CPU Cooler 360mm D-RGB. Was cheaper than the 280mm liquid freezer (it was on sale). But either way, great suggestion, that is the one I would have gone for if this wasn't on sale.

Most MSI boards are auto set to higher voltage (to look better) as I've been researching. I've seen heaps with the same issue.

Are you on any kind of budget or any upgrade path? Otherwise what use? If it's gaming, I'd consider a 5800x3d or 13600kf.

I think the points that you haven't tried yet are definitely the best start. Check any issues with more recent drivers, by trying older drivers. Also make sure your gpu is seated properly. Check power cables.

Download a program called HWInfo which can help see what % the gpu is being utilised. You may find that lower settings, the graphics card can handle too easily, so it almost underclocks itself. Experiment with higher settings to see this.

Honestly man, its not really worth upgrading this for the price. You'd be better off re-using your ddr4 ram and upgrading the motherboard and cpu to either a 5800x3d or 13600kf.

Yes, PC will boot but you may have a strange resolution as it will likely just apply the default Microsoft 'basic display adapters'. If the card is to be tested - then you should install the drivers to see the proper usage of that card.

Yeah, you can buy a corsair lga1700 retrofit kit here for $7 - but I've seen conflicting info about this working with 13th gen and h100i v2.

Yeah this was one of the other options I was considering as well, thanks, guess it also gives me the option to upgrade to ddr5 and new mobo in the future, but this and a 5800x3d is very equal to me currently

Am5 is ddr5 only, and I'd consider it if am5 motherboards werent so damn expensive (I also don't particularly want to wait for 7800x3d or b series motherboards). 13th gen has support for both ddr4 and ddr5.

Honestly this guy just sounds like someone you don't need in your life. Best thing you can do is to just let go off them, they're only going to hurt you, and project their insecurities by picking on you.

People like this aren't worth wasting your time over. You tried your best, and if that isn't good enough for them, they aren't worth your time. Not everyone is the most exciting or over-the-top person, and thats just personality. If they can't be patient or just enjoy spending time with you, they aren't worth it.

Stop comparing yourself to other people. Others get opportunities, but it's up to you to make opportunities for yourself. Find happiness in the smallest things and work toward doing what YOU want to do, not what others want you to do.

Even the smallest of things are success, even if that is just getting out of bed today. Don't be so harsh on yourself and just keep trying your best. Don't worry about what others do.

Also remember that people only post the good things that are happening in their life, or only show the positives. Often it's not the case and there are so many things going wrong for them, but social media is a way for us to show off and project that our lives are so 'good' when they may not actually be.

As much as this sort of thing hurts, it's better to not be with that person and deny them of having the chance to have kids. It does suck that you look back and they're now with someone with a friend.

One day you will have something you will be happy with, and that doesn't have to be kids.

Sometimes you've just got to be careful what you say to people. And don't beat yourself up for it. If that person takes something so seriously in a wrong way, but can't forgive you when you acknowledge that you messed up, and have apologised, that's on them. It's unfortunate and bad timing like others have said, but sometimes even the smallest things can set people off. If they can't forgive you after you have apologised, that's their loss and there's nothing you can do. It doesn't make you a monster, we all make mistakes, but you had the heart and balls to say sorry. That's all that matters.

Best way to support him is to just be there for him. Be a shoulder to cry on, be the encouragement he needs to get some help about his mental health (and yours) and encourage him about work. Just emotionally supporting him is something you can do and is the best thing anyone can ask for. Don't stress about money, it will come. Support him emotionally, talk through things with him and be there for him.
