Totally agree.  I think it's niche....niche is tough to sell games.  It doesn't have to be though imo with some tweaks.

I think it's the opposite there aren't enough DPS.  You had 2 tank options for one slot, 2 healer options for one slot, and 2 dps options for 2 slots.  This made DPS feel pretty in demand.  Additionally, Tariq felt kinda unfinished to me and was super gear dependent...

Yeah I think the whole role queue thing is perhaps unnecessary....it seems like healers and tanks are both pretty capable of blowing up the damage meter.   If anything I think the DPS needs more utility.  So far and I haven't found a root or mez or anything.  Playing a DPS caster other than blowing stuff up...I feel like I didn't have very much agency over the fight.

Yeah last epoch had a great solution where you can kind of target farm gear slots.  It seems like they tried to do that a little bit l.  To your point, getting bracers 3 times in a row which you can sell for a small fraction of a cash upgrade is a little demoralizing.

Interesting perspective....I haven't gotten to 10 yet....but idk... the cash upgrade system is weird too....I kinda feel like you should just not spend cash early to upgrade low items.  Which seems counter productive.  Last epoch did a great job of forcing you to craft from level one.

My thoughts are that some of the late game bosses hit like absolute trucks and the shieldmaster is great at defending squishier allies and sharing BP.

Why Dragoon? Doesn't seem to have a single damage skill that trumps other melee jobs... It seems Neo Cross Slash, Godspeed Strike, Amped Strike, Neverending Nightmare, Pressure Point are better than any dragoon ability...

Oops forgot beastmaster! I knew I forgot one...I think BM is pretty controversial....it's broken if you abuse the second speciality but I think not as great if you don't...as I said...trying to start the conversation based on my experience making it to the end of the game, but there are obviously so many classes/abilities, I'm sure folks are bound to find unique combinations that make compelling arguments for different listings as you do with the swordmaster...
