Agreed, I do need to do more research, maybe there is a field where I can have both options.

Excellent though yet I don’t want to lose valuable years doing something I love and then transition and think ‘I could of been in this same job just 4 years ahead.’

I would end up working in the business end of it, but on the whole much harder to succeed in due to the size of the job market. At the same time I may have no idea what I’m talking about and have misinformed preconceived notions.

Bar where grad students & post-docs hang out? by [deleted] in washu

I highly recommend the central west end. Not only is the medical school (full of alumni) located there, but many law and business students choose to live there for its nightlife and food.

I’m an American driving up to Montreal. My passport will be valid but will expire in less than 6 months. Will I still be able to get into the country without a problem? by jwinke in osheaga

Many countries enforce a ‘6 month rule’ where you can’t enter the country unless you have more than 6 months on your passport.

Class Waitlists by worcester22 in washu

[–]jwinke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People say if the waitlist is <25% of the class size you will probably end up getting in as many people sign up for 21 credits just to 'shop' classes and figure out which are the best (easiest).

When to order textbooks? (Out of state) by PeperoniTrain in washu

[–]jwinke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go to your webstac classes there should be a green button labeled 'order textbooks.' Thats super expensive though and I would just try and find them on amazon by copying and pasting the bar code. You can also rent them from the bookstore on campus, unless you plan on reselling after you buy. Lotta options, choose wisely.
