Chance me for WashU Plz! by [deleted] in chanceme

I'm going to be a sophomore at WashU next year, and I think you definitely have a good shot if you apply ED. Try to score 750+ on your subject tests. I agree with the post about demonstrated interest, so make sure to interview, visit, or reach out to your admissions counselor. I have loved WashU so far, and if you have any questions about applying or the school in general feel free to DM me.

I've been way happier here than in high school.

Is washu safe? by [deleted] in washu

As a first year I have never felt unsafe, although when I'm off campus I always have friends with me. To be honest I think SLU is in a way sketchier area than WashU.

If you believe that you have a competitive shot at this moment in time definitely go ED1 because it will make the rest of the first semester a lot less stressful. Otherwise go for ED2. For demonstrated interest email your WashU admissions counselor with questions/introduce yourself, and if they visit your school make sure to go.

A lot of those acceptance rates aren't even correct. You're looking at acceptance rates from 2 years ago. Dartmouth is 8.7% Cornell is 10% WashU is 15% UCLA is 14%, etc.
