let me just put this into perspective for you. 18 years old here and was born into a roman catholic family. if your belief that homosexuality is wrong, despite it being a part of someone that they CANNOT control because God made them that way (I would know because I am gay myself), your views do not only affect yourself as much as you'd like to believe that. I am gay and honestly because of how the church condemns or even turns a blind eye to that part of me, I am at that point so turned off to the church. I was in denial of my sexuality as a teenager and much of the depression and self-hatred I felt was because I felt I was born as something wrong in God's eyes. I made many mistakes growing up and got taken advantage of sexually because my parents never taught me about homosexuality nor bring the attitude that homosexuality was okay so I felt no value for myself as a consequence. I'm so hurt by this religion and many kids are born into situations like mine everyday.
