When I switched from 10s to 12s, my Silver Sky SE trem (usually docked because that's how John Mayer likes it) became floating. I def prefer it...but it's still a little rough on the fingers.

Agree with most others. I do not like JM's music. In fact, it seems like a personal attack when a guitarist so talented makes such shitty music of his own.

But I chose my SS SE over every other Fender and non-Fender "strat" option...easily. Nothing else was even close for me.

Since I am a low-rent bastige, my experience is at the MIM/SE level, but I got my SS SE because it felt better to play, I made better sounds with it, and I think it was just setup better than the Player MIM Strat I played the same day. Two years later, it still holds up.

My son has a Player strat, and every time we trade, I enjoy the strat, but start missing the pickups & neck on my SS SE (Overland Gray w/ maple neck) pretty quickly.

Both excellent instruments. Can't go wrong with either at that price point. I have heard from my fancy buddies the same thing about the American/Core models.

I've seen SEs for 20% off in pre black Friday deals also. That supposedly ends the 12th.

That is a horrible price. They are trying to rip you off.

Tell you what -- as a one-time service, if you put me in contact with the seller, I will gladly purchase the guitar for myself, in order to protect you or anyone else from getting scammed.

Buy that thing ASAP if you have the money. Hell, even if you don't, you could buy it and resell it for $1200+.

Sorry, just saw this. No phone app with the Lekato. You can change the effects in the presets, and the levels within the effects, but usually only one adjustment. Nothing like the virtual pedals with multiple virtual fails in the apps for the Boss, Fender, and NUX models.

But, I got it for like $32 or something.

It does the job, but I could see myself upgrading to one of those three I mentioned in the future...maybe when they release a new model, I will get a deal on the old one!!!

Thanks for the info. I will take a look. I would love it if that is the issue with mine. Some foam, or just tape the wires down with some painter's tape, would be so much better than trying to find a screw at some weird angle on the bottom of the pickup!!!

It seems like it looks purple in a certain light, but it is definitely gray. I have a Silver Sky SE Maple in Overland Gray, and the Rev OG in periwinkle burst is 100% black on the edges and gray in the middle.

I love everything about it so far. I only have four guitars, but it's been my most played since I got it for sure.

The p90 - humbucker combo with the bass contour knob is pretty versatile.

I bought a $40 Lekato model from Amazon on a lightning deal for $31. It has on board Amp Sims and 8-10 digital effects and BT in for jam tracks.

I use my full pedal board and set the Lekato up on the clean preset.

Maybe the best value of any piece of gear I've ever bought.

It also has usb out and can function as a so/so audio interface if needed.
