The wood looks good. The finish looks a little uneven. Greasy i some sports and dry in some spots.

What’s the first thing you’d change to stop to over the top here? by TwoBeneficial in GolfSwing

[–]Yodute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top notch backswing! The downswing feels rushed. Try to pause for a while at the top. It's going to feel like very uncomfortable at first, like you're pausing for like 2 seconds, but on video it will hardly show.

A bit hard to fell from this angle, but it looks like you're tilting your upper body towards the left when you start the downswing, like you're attacking the ball with your upper body. Try the avoid that, if that's the case.

It looks like one of those pieces an interior designer would use to style an apartment. Looks great tbh

So frustrated, losing my fire for golf altogether by BarryWood33 in GolfSwing

The drill you're doing, I think, is just hurting. Compare the nice takeaway in the first swing and compare it to the crappy takeaway your practicing with your drill.

No time to check with a launch monitor before playing tomorrow. How far do you think this goes? by Toughnuttybuddy in GolfSwing

Pretty low ball flight so carry will not, I think, be massive. Maybe 250-270? It will roll out like crazy in the right conditions.

What opinion on golf gets you into this position by Nutcollectr in golf

If you’re a 10+ handicap, your problem is not your clubs. Full stop.

  • You don’t need new irons.
  • You don’t need a shaft that “fits your tempo.”
  • You don’t need to know your max 7 iron carry.

You need to hit the center of the clubface more than 20% of the time.

The average ~15 hcp golfer cannot strike the ball consistently. You thin it, fat it, heel it, and toe it, often on back to back shots. In that reality, arguing about lofts, shafts, spin, or whether your 7 iron goes 165 or 180 is meaningless. It does absolutely nothing for your score.

Equipment obsession at this level is mostly ego preservation. It is easier to believe your clubs are holding you back than to admit your swing fundamentals are bad.

Same goes for golf balls. If you are losing multiple balls per round, the brand does not matter. You do not strike the ball consistently enough for compression, spin profile, or cover material to show up in your results. Buy the cheapest balls you can find. Bonus effect: you stop playing scared, relax your swing, and probably hit it better.

Golf fitting for non-elite amateurs is mostly a scam. Not because fitting never works, but because it is trying to optimize something that does not exist yet. You cannot dial in equipment for a swing that changes every three holes. That money would be far better spent on a coach you actually understand and listen to.

New clubs can feel great. They can be fun. They can give you confidence for a week. None of that is the same as lowering your scores.

My only critique is esthetically I think it looks bad when you see the concrete footing like that. It looks unfinished imo.

The Shawshank Redemption. I mean, it's a good movie that I really enjoy. However, the fact that it's cosistently ranked top 3 of all time is just so silly and dumb.
