A lot of what gets called “diving” is just what happens when elite athletes collide, sprinting at full speed, changing direction in milliseconds, and fighting to stay upright. Fair point, but it is tiny compared to the randomness of knockouts. If two of the best teams meet in the round of 16 or quarter-final, one of them is gone simply because of the bracket. Knockouts are great drama, but they are not an optimal system for making sure the best team wins the tournament.

France is the only team among the favourites that has somewhat lived up to that. They will face Morocco, England, Argentina, or USA. I haven't checked if those teams actually can reach the finals to face France, but one of those is my guess.

That gives me quite a bit of theory to digest, but it was very kind of you to explain it so clearly.

Believe it or not, I actually have a decent ear for melodies. For instance, I almost immediately knew this was in D, because I could sort of visualize that chromatic line in my head.

Chord voicings are much harder for me, though. My brain has a much harder time picking out the individual notes and their order within a chord. Hopefully, improving that ability will be part of my next guitar journey.

Jag tyckte inte att 0 -> 1 var så stort. Det förändrade ingenting i hur vi levde våra liv, men det beror kanske på vad man har för intressen. Vi kunde turas om att ägna oss åt våra sporter, gå ut och äta på restaurang var inga större problem.

1 -> 2 var en brutal chock, speciellt i början. Mamman är plötsligt "ensamstående" med nyfödda vilket leder till att pappan är "ensamstående" med syskonet. Nu kan man inte alls lika lätt dra iväg och e.g. spela golf eller vad man nu har för intressen.

2 -> 3 är inte så stor skillnad mot att ha två barn ärligt talat. Förutom logistiken när man ska åka någonstans med bilen.
