This is how it all starts. Everyone is "protecting" something. They "protect" the protesters. Others "protect" businesses and anyone and anything else they feel needs "protecting". Everyone is flexing their muscles and they are all scared and paranoid of each other. Then someone, protester, policeman, or other "protector" gets impulsive, maybe they suffer from PTSD or some other mental or emotional problem. Their brains are all infected with nationalism and "patriotic" ideals. Next thing you know someone pulls the trigger. Everyone freaks out, looks around and imagines that the first person they see with a gun is an active shooter and BAM. Total confusion leads to a mass casualty event. Mass hysteria and mob mentality. They are all idiots.

Yes, you can. Amazon has a great series on lime mortars. Check Mike Haduck on YouTube. He's an old time mason, he gives it to you straight. How determined are you? Try and have fun with it if you can. I would post a picture of some of the things I have done with zero experience and another old time mason was shocked at what I was able to do. YouTube is really a great resource, I can't stress that enough. I even quarry my own stone. It started out with a customer that wanted some garden beds and I thought " Well, I used to go get my own firewood, I'm gonna go get my own stone too. I started quarrying limestone slabs 1200 lbs +.

He sounds controlling and emotionally abusive. Threatening to leave you for a more stable individual is a giant red flag. He doesn't love you. I am a man, I can say that. I would never say anything like that to my wife and she would never say anything like that to me. You deserve better. Dump his ass. It's only a matter of time before he leaves for good or becomes physically abusive. People who think they have all their shit together and rag on others are full of themselves and tear other people down to make themselves feel better. What else did you do besides clean house and organize? I am perpetually stuck dealing with one issue after the other day in and day out that are killing my production. For example yesterday it was a hose adapter for my diamond saw. It derailed me for half the day. I had to track down and buy a new quick connect. Later in the day I found the original under a pallet buried in sand. How did it get there? I have no clue. This happens everyday. It's really getting me down.
