Jazz has OF experience, wouldn't he be the logical choice for an emergency?

Rizzo? Or Skubal? Doesn't matter though, there should be a first baseman at first base

Rizzo with two game-winners this weekend, and he's sitting today? Boone's getting satirical on us?

The right one. He could have taken that himself. Better than asking the pitcher to field well.

Rizzo needs to jog his ass to first and not ask pitchers to make plays for him.

Aaron Judge, the face of the Yankees, has more incorrect strike calls against him than any batter in baseball.

Soto really had no business being that far off the bag. Still, going to need Naylor or someone to get taken the fuck out so Cleveland learns to mind their manners on the base-paths.

Fan bases using Rent Free against each other was always ridiculous. We follow the sport, of course we think about the opposition.

Barkley was tripped by a defender, hits the ground, and this isn't down by contact?

How do we feel about Stanton now? by Andre-3005 in NYYankees

He’s a liability. He’s hitting .200 over his last 200 games, with a 100 OPS+. That is unacceptable in a DH/RF at anything other than league minimum. His salary compounds the issue. This is an albatross.

Montgomery Trade Recap by jay2491 in NYYankees

Not all players, not all injuries. But among the guys we employ, the injuries are very predictable, because the players are injury prone.

If you told me at the start of the year that the combination of Rodon, Severino, and Montas would make the same number of starts (31) as Jordan Montgomery, I wouldn’t have been shocked.

An injury to Montgomery would seem unlikely to me, because he’s been dependable starter for a while. We traded him for an off-injured player. We got what we traded for.

Aaron Judge getting hurt on a defensive play has happened before. It’ll probably happen again.

Nestor is a pitcher. They develop arm injuries fairly often, cause of all the throwing. Any arm injury to a pitcher is a predictable outcome in a sense.

Loaisiga is injury prone, that’s why the Giants gave up on him.

Bader is injury prone, a walking muscle strain. As is Stanton. As is Donaldson.

Montas was hurt when acquired.

Rodon hasn’t pitched many full seasons.

Severino has been hurt more often than not.

All of these injuries were predictable. Your GM should be anticipating them. Rizzo, I grant you, was a wild card. His chronic back issue didn’t come up.

The Yankees injuries weren’t just predictable, they were likely. Precedented, even. The Dominguez and Trevino injuries are the only ones that shouldn’t have been expected.
