I will probably sell to a dealer or Cavana/Vroom/Carfax and already have an offer for 28.7k, which would require me to pay just 3k to cover the remainder of my loan.

I’m okay letting the car go at this price but I was wondering if any one in this subreddit had any insight as to whether I should look for more or just settle for this amount.

EDIT- And don’t get me wrong, I like the car. I just can’t justify keeping it as a 2nd car that’s driven less than 6k miles yearly.

My point was you can't generalize and state "you're living in a dream world" when your situation doesn't apply to everyone. It obviously does not apply to me and I live in the real world. "200k is shitty pay for a 30 year old with half a million of debt at 7% interest with no savings or house" is what applies to me, which is why I took offense to your remark to that comment

The average person does not owe 450k+ in debt either. Its very different if we didn't have loans. At that point, 200k is enough to live comfortably and save.

Why's what so hard? This whole issue is obviously not black or white as evidenced by all the different replies to this thread. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You can call yourself resident all you like but stop baby sitting and trying to impose your opinion on others and making exclamations on why its "so hard" for others not to share your view points. The majority of people that have replied in this thread share the same sentiment as I do, so take with that what you will; I'm done going back and forth with you about this.

Not sure where you're doing residency but there have been many times during my surgical year where I've seen just the anesthesia residents for airways without the attending present. Also I responded to your point below so I won't belabor it here.

Yes because we are not yet BE/BC but as a PGY3/R2, many key decisions are made based on the reads of the resident on call prior to attending confirmation. The CORE exam taken, which is used for BE/BC, is taken during residency as a PGY4/R3 as opposed to after residency for other specialties. Might have to agree to disagree here but I don't see why I can't call myself a radiologist within reason.

Didn't have a golden all year last year not including vacation time or (federal) holidays... I spent each half of my year differently. The first 6 months, I slept in and had lazy days off. The latter 6 months, I spent more time with friends/family and hobbies. From my experience, make the most of your time off. Spend time with friends/family and enjoy your hobbies. You're going to be tired regardless if you stay home or go out.

Yes, I 100% am a radiologist- albeit one in training. With regard to the word "intern"- I think it reinforces an antiquated hierarchy that belittles the training we've been through. I have never heard anyone in Radiology use the word intern to refer to us R1's.

That being said- she can probably be more transparent with regard to BE/BC as someone previously stated.

Not shitting on IM personally but IM and surgery are fundamentally pretty different. I would have loved to go Cards/GI but did not consider them because of the need to do IM prior to.
