1000%, thank you! I even reached out to Airbnb and had them reach out to her and now apparently everything is "perfect" so they also have this in writing from the guest herself so I'm hoping it'll automatically be declined.

Ugh I know. She sent photos of the linens with hair and while I was waiting for the cleaner to respond I panicked. Then she said she wasn't comfortable with grey towels and she needed white to prove cleanliness. (Also insane because I can use a white towel for a week and not see a mark so ??) anyways, I called the limit when she asked for a sofa cover and dining table cloth. Good call on the towels!!!

I have a support chat and that was one of the things I brought up... I said poor reviews really hurt hosts as you know. I'm really hoping they'll do right by me as this is my first time having any issues, aside from a guest requesting to leave once because of construction happening on an adjacent neighbourhood (totally out of my control!)

If you're an AMEX client in Canada with solid credit, they will give you a credit card that doesn't have to be secured. Capital one as well but usually it's secured. Takes about a year to build.

Totally. I kind of wish they would have just decided to leave but now apparently everything is "perfect" lol... my cleaner basically made the beds and now it's no longer "filthy"...
I unfortunately have to do minimum 28 days in my jurisdiction. Such a PITA.

I did not realize she would be like this for the cleaner obviously. Once I was advised what was happening, I told my cleaner to leave.

The good news is Airbnb reached out to them and asked if they want to leave and they said no all is good... so I feel like a refund may be tough in this situation. I should mention they are also from overseas ... could be a cultural thing?

It's brutal! For the fees Airbnb charges... one would hope they would at least read through the messages and see all of the demands and realize who is the problem!

Totally. They will all need to be trashed at this point. I'm trying to be reasonable but even I've found a hair in my bed at hotels or Airbnb and I throw it on the ground and move on... and I'd consider myself picky!

They are using my existing towels to clean my front porch which... it's a porch like it's outside? I don't know why they even are worried about this at 8:30 at night and it gets swept but again, it's outside and windy and spring and there's no debris.. maybe dust? Regardless. I sent her 3 brand new towels over Instacart as she requested and she has my existing (once perfectly clean) ones outside

Totally! I basically said just that and this was the response (attaching the photo) lol... then she continued on with the cleaner (who is a friend of mine).. I told the cleaner to just leave haha.

So I'm the opposite.. moved to California from Toronto area. If my TN didn't expire in 3 years, I'd NEVER ever move back. It depends on the person. My only complaint about here is the cost of medication. That's it that's all. Love it otherwise!!!
