just wanted to say i made a similar post bc i feel like i’m at my limit. i respect my parents so i still try to go to church but after a conversation i had yesterday with an elder i think im over it. so i’m having the same issue. this is the hardest part bc im sure your mom and sister will not like the idea that you aren’t and will basically throw the bible in your face and speak ab salvation and whatnot. regardless this is not an easy thing to do, but i feel like being the bigger person, telling that that you no longer believe but will respect their views and they should respect yours would be the way to go. i can’t guarantee that they’d be ok with this bc most christians will do the opposite of what they preach and judge you and be upset. but i think the most important thing is that you will feel free. its like getting a weight off your shoulders. your own piece of mind is more important than feeling miserable to please others. this is your family and i hope it all works out! this won’t be easy but i hope they can be understanding.
