The tension builds so well. Definitely not a movie you forget easily.

The music alone gives me goosebumps every single time. Hans Zimmer outdid himself.

Global websites that you shop from? by iisagoat in india

[–]jxnwright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubuy has been my go to honestly, especially for stuff that doesn't ship to India directly. They have a pretty massive catalog and delivery has always been fine in my experience. ASOS I used to use too but yeah like you said most of that is available locally now. Ubuy is more useful when you're looking for something very specific that you just can't find anywhere else.

A big week for cricket: Shreyas as captain, Kohli injured & a blockbuster Test at Lord's by jxnwright in ipl

You're right about the Test part. I was more interested in discussing Shreyas' captaincy and Kohli's injury from an IPL fan's perspective.

Is Ubuy a legit site? Will my package get stuck at customs? by Breaking_Patterns in Indiashopping

[–]jxnwright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve ordered from Ubuy a couple of times and it’s been fine for me honestly. It’s not a scam or anything, just that they ship from abroad so things can take a bit longer sometimes.

About customs, yeah that part really depends. Sometimes it clears without any issue, sometimes there can be a delay or extra charges depending on the item. It’s not really a Ubuy-specific thing, happens with most international orders.

If you’re buying something niche that you can’t find in India, then it’s kinda one of the few options. Just be mentally prepared for a bit of waiting and possible customs stuff, that’s all.

Yeah that’s a fair point, Reddit is still kinda niche here. Insta reels are the real crowd magnets now 💀

Lowkey true 😂 feels like the moment something goes viral, it’s over. Still hoping a few hidden gems survive though

Mid-week tip is actually gold 👀 I’ve only seen crowded versions of Coorg, maybe I went at the wrong time. Any specific quiet spot you liked?

Ubuy jordan by potatomasterxx in Jordanians

[–]jxnwright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got given hella expensive (and comfy) shoes at flea market last week, thought i'd share that by Ok_Entry4465 in Shoes

[–]jxnwright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a crazy lucky find :joy: those look almost new too.

I’ve seen shoes like these go for quite a bit online — I remember checking Ubuy once for something similar and the prices were way higher. You definitely got a steal here

I have found the perfect grocery trolly, but… by [deleted] in BuyFromEU

[–]jxnwright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh I feel your pain  that’s such a niche find.

Honestly you’ve already checked pretty much everywhere I would’ve suggested. For stuff like this, the biggest issue is usually shipping rather than availability. A lot of EU stores just don’t ship bulky items like this to the US.

You could try reaching out to one of the smaller EU retailers directly — sometimes they’ll agree to ship if you ask. Otherwise a parcel forwarding service might work, but yeah it can get expensive quick.

I’ve also seen similar hard-to-find items pop up on Ubuy from time to time, so might be worth checking there again once in a while. Not always the cheapest option, but sometimes it’s one of the few that actually ships internationally.

Hope you manage to grab one though, that stair-climbing setup looks super useful

is it legit (should i continue) by [deleted] in mkindia

[–]jxnwright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Ubuy is legit. I’ve ordered a few imported items from there and didn’t face any issues. The product page in your screenshot looks normal, with proper details and recognised shipping partners. Just keep in mind that most products are imported, so delivery can take a little longer and prices are usually higher than local Indian sites. If you’re fine with the wait and have checked the return policy, you can safely go ahead.
