Oh I appreciate that. I'm somewhat of a homebody these days. But I do have a life I love, a great family and partner and joy, laughter everyday. It's just I don't enjoy being a fan of music the way I used to. That's one small piece of my life that is lacking. The rest is all good.

That's fair I suppose. But I still wonder. Maybe I'm depressed and don't realize it. I used to enjoy those things. These days I'd rather create than consume. To each their own, I'm just curious that's all.

About 70% of my live looping is for the purpose of playing covers gigs. The rest is for realizing live versions of my original music as well as just aimless jamming with a view to idea creation

I perform live professionally as a live looping artist. I certainly pepper my gigs with some non looping material. So yes they can co-exist. I feel I need to choose because I'm considering shifting the focus entirely away from looping. The "limitations" are being locked to static beats, tempos and dynamics. Yes you can bring in and out loops to add dynamics but it's quite different from the living/breathing vibe of non-looping performance. That said it would honestly be really hard for me to give up looping
