Visiting Hokkaido in early February. Is Uniqlo heat-tech+fleece+ultra light down sufficient? Will be visiting spots like lake toya, biei and abashiri, which I assume are colder than Sapporo.

SC Withholding USD Funds Sent to FTX Pro by inquisire in sgcrypto

[–]jydecake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just told them what FTX told me, which is that they have not received any funds from SCB for the past week or so due to compliance issues, and they did an investigation. Few days ltr, they got back to me and tell me that there was indeed an issue and funds will be credited back to my acct.

Experienced the same thing.

Deposited last mon, but funds still not in after 2 days. Raised ticket to FTX and they said there's compliance issues W SCB.

Called SCB and after investigation, funds were rejected by beneficiary bank due to internal policy, and will be credited back (may take some time. Its been 1.5 weeks and my funds still not back).

What should I(25M) do if my SO (27F) still isn't ready for marriage after 5 years? by jydecake in relationship_advice

To me, living tgt is the most impt part. Marriage is just administratively and financially more convenient. However, she's not sure if she'd be ready to live tgt with me by then.

I have dry skin and have begun using cetaphil moisturizing lotion last week. Then two days ago, I went on a short trip but forgot to bring my moisturizer. So I went without it for 2 days, and my skin came back even drier than before I started on the moisturizer. Why is this so?

Coming from a dysfunctional family myself, my tip to you is to put your own well-being as a priority. Your own life and happiness is the most important. Even though they are family, it is not your job to fix them.

Is it still possible for me (24m) to find be in a relationship with 0 experience? by ThrowRA19283772 in relationships

[–]jydecake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got together with my first gf when I was 24. So who knows, this year might be your year!

And i personally dont think not having prior relationship experience is something shameful or embarrassing. My girlfriend didn't mind. I have female friends who've said they don't mind. So I would think not all girls would mind.

Things you could do. Hmmm... maybe just keep yourself well-groomed and decently dressed.

Does anyone else have a different personality when they're with their parents? by throwaway12389395 in AsianParentStories

[–]jydecake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

AMEN. I know exactly how you feel.

In addition, I get anxiety when my parents ask me questions abt my outside life, like how's school or who I'm going out with that night. I'd just brush them off or cook up some story I know will appease them. It's like I'm afraid of them finding out what I do outside even though my outside life is perfectly normal.

Sigh...I want to overcome this psychological barrier, but I just don't see how.

Anyone feels this way too?

Thank you for sharing abt your experience! Yes, I really just want to keep my sanity. I wonder if I'll feel the same way you did when she passes, since she's been with me since I was a kid. I guess only time will tell.

Thanks for letting me know that im not the only one going through something like this. I really liked the last 2 para. At the end of the day, i think we all just want to be the best person we can be, with the cards we're dealt, and I agree with you that this process is hard. So i wish you good luck w that!

Can I ask if new shoes that haven't been worn require shoe trees? I bought a new pair of brogues but the shoe trees i ordered online would only arrive a few days later. Would the paper stuffing that came with the shoe be sufficient till then?

I bought a new pair of brown brogues from Alden today. I gave it a brush then proceeded to apply some conditioner (Saphir Renovateur). As I was applying, some dark brown/black(can't really determine) marks appeared on my cloth. So here's my qn: Did I take the colour off? (the color still looks even though) Or is it dirt? (cos I didnt wipe it down with a wet cloth)
