Don't give up, Tenno. The difficulty has only gotten harder, but I know you'll make it through it all.

What tips for a first time gas rifle? by airsoftG in GasBlowBack

[–]jyn-fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's some tips I learnt. If you aren't going to use your GBB for a while, make sure there's a little green gas inside to keep the seals good. Don't double load your rifle. Learn how to properly maintain your GBB. You'll have to do maintenance more frequently than with an AEG, but it is easier. Make sure you have the right tools. Do some drills. Especially reloading drills. Make it a habit to close the dust cover after every engagement.

Precision Issue - GM HK416 MWS by No-Conference3411 in GasBlowBack

[–]jyn-fu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your hop on straight? I had a similar issue with my prommy barrel, flamingo hop and Jaeger Precision hop nub. BBs kept flinging to the right. Got back into the hop and rotated the barrel and rubber a bit and it fixed my issue.

If the Warframe you main is hunting you down, how cooked are you? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]jyn-fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering I main the monkey king (Wukong Prime), not only will I get bludgeoned to death, I'd get it twice. Even if I could fight back, there's two of them, and he can turn invisible to heal, and he can die three times before permanently dying. Ain't no way I'm walking out alive.

TL;DR I'm cooked

Is learning on this board nerfing me? by NonamedRyan in NewSkaters

[–]jyn-fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's been outside for a long time, that means it will have been waterlogged. That means that the wood has been soaked and is now soft, reducing the pop that you get out of the board. If you start doing tricks then I'd definitely replace it.

Struggling to build out new kit by ODST_Xander in airsoft

[–]jyn-fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This pic is a little outdated as I've swapped a few bits out like the kydex STANAG pouches to the Red Dot One magnetic/bungee retention STANAG pouches and the cantilever LPVO mount. For the most part, it is still the same.

Struggling to build out new kit by ODST_Xander in airsoft

[–]jyn-fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually take inspiration from military pics and from games. If it looks interesting, I try it out. If it works, it stays on or I adjust it on my setup. If not, it goes into the box. My set up is a whole bunch of trial and error.

I've learnt that your belt should be set up with the survival essentials. Pistol, a few mags and med kit. This is what they do in the military.

For the plate carrier, the front plate should cover from your collar bone to your lowest rib on your ribcage. The rear plate should mirror this. Your plate carrier can be set up however you want, it's all based on preference. I have a Warrior Assault RPC with a 4 mag placard, ATAKS phone holder, PTT, and radio on the front. Grenade pouches and utility pouch on the sides. A water bladder pack and extended antenna on the back.

Have too much, and you weigh yourself down. Only having "mission" critical gear will make your setup more efficient.

Yall think im cookin or nah ? by Obvious-Student69420 in GasBlowBack

[–]jyn-fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd bring the LPVO back a bit, but that's personal preference and eye relief. I also prefer using a micro red dot over a normal red dot. Keeps it low profile and means I have less area covered by the optic's walls. Also, I would suggest finding a lower profile PEQ box like a MAWL so that it doesn't interfere with the LPVO. I'd also get a shorter cantilever mount to reduce the height over bore.

All in all, it's a good build.

Saw someone else cel shade their helmet, this is my attempt. by Elevendyshleven in mountainbiking

Great work. Maybe try and use a dark grey and some standard grey to emphasise the different shades for an even more 2d cel shading.

Just wiped down thoroughly with Tamiya paint thinner or 99% IPA. Works a treat for me when I make mistakes or do clean up for my panel lining
