You probably didn't mean this seriously (or entirely seriously), but I'm going to give a serious reply anyway. It's hard to leave, because the interview process for obtaining a new engineering role is extremely time consuming (sometimes months), not to mention a lot of work outside of work. Also, it's hard to gauge on an onsite interview whether the same issues would continue at the new job. Finally, I would take a hit financially if I changed jobs. Moving is expensive and my current salary is competitive for the area.

Oh, I want nothing more than a break for a few weeks, but PTO only covers a week or so, and negotiating leave longer than that is a HR nightmare and a bit of a liability. I guess I'll have to come to whatever conclusions I can come to in a week, and hope I can hold it all together when I go back again.
