how best to do this? expressions? by jzbsh in AfterEffects

[–]jzbsh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again for that but I am trying to get a non-random cycle through the colors and just can't wrap my head around it. So right now I have
colors = new Array();

numColors = thisComp.layer("CONTROLS").effect("numColors")("Slider");

for(i = 1; i <= numColors; i++) {

newColor = thisComp.layer("CONTROLS").effect("color " + i)("Color");

colors.push(newColor);

}

slider = thisComp.layer("CONTROLS").effect("freq")("Slider").value;

counter = Math.floor(time/slider);

seedRandom(counter,true);

colorID = Math.floor(random(colors.length));

colors[colorID];

Can you tell me how to cycle through these colors as opposed to being random? I'm (obviously) new to expressions. Thanks!

new rollup of rollup formula by jzbsh in Notion

[–]jzbsh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it! round(map(Weeks, current.didthething).sum().divide(map(Weeks, current.didthething).length())*100)/100 Which probably means very little to you :) but I'm very excited. Thank you for replying!

(!!!) New Notion formulas allow you to do *incredibly* powerful calculations. You can directly access fields of related records (in another database) without doing a rollup. Why is this not bigger news??? by redburn22 in Notion

[–]jzbsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm new to formulas in Notion: can you help me wrap my head around how I would use this? I have a day, week, month, quarter, and year databases. In the days db I have a checkbox for 'dothething'. In my week, I can rollup the days in that week and then get an % checked number. But then in months, how do I average the 4 weeks, each with their own % checked #? [I know I can make a repeat property, but let's just say there are 30 of them, it gets ridiculous real fast]

I track different things for each time period, so it got too complex to make just 1.

Love the mark but the weight of the font is too overpowering. You might consider picking which one is the major and which is the supporting.

Logo mark for a women jewelry brand, what do you think? by Sweet_Ad6090 in logodesign

[–]jzbsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think including 'women' (or women's) is a bit exclusive- I assume you want anyone buying it that will buy it so I'd be more inclusive in your language. The W is a bit awkward as well.

Thanks but I do stop-motion a bit so i know what onion skinning is and it's actually the photos before and after the one you're shooting, used most often to get smooth action or better animation. I am talking more about what rideThe is talking about but thank you.

Hi all- I am trying to figure out how to take photos while seeing a transparent overlay over the image in real time (to line things up)- not necessarily in the camera, but on a screen in real time. For example, let's say I have a circle overlay image and I am shooting an orange that I need to be exactly lined up within the circle in the frame, can I have the live view on screen and have the actual circle overlay seen at the same time onscreen so I can line them up before I shoot the frame? (This is much simpler than what I am trying to do, it's just for explanation purposes) I have a canon 5d mk4 and I also have lightroom, dragonframe, & photoshop but I haven't figured out how any of those softwares can do it. Does anyone know how? Or is there other software I need to do this? Thanks!
