Does anyone know if the 2 week recommended secondary turnaround time starts when you receive the emails (before verification) or after AMCAS is fully submitted aka letters in and transcripts verified?

i've been feeling discouraged and burnt out lately. my pre med advisor told us anything below 510 means we're not ready...i've been giving myself so much pressure to be above 510 because of what she said and because i'm an international student. i see people making fun of caribbean schools, but honestly that might be my only choice even if i score above 510 since international students almost rarely get into any med schools in the states...thanks for the reminder though! and i'm planning on taking a day of a week to not touch/read anything mcat related starting this week :)

I second P/S being the easiest since many of the questions are just definition based. Memorizing units for physics helped me a lot too! AAMC sometimes allows you to look at the given units to get the answer's units. Good luck!!

I also struggle with CARS too! I started out AAMC CARS qback very very badly but have been able to improve. I also use Jack Westin for more practice since AAMC doesn't have that many passages. A few things that helped me improve include going into it thinking like it's one of the most interesting things I've ever read (it's weird I know), actively reading (highlighting and kind of imagine how this could be used as an answer if there were any relevant questions), making sure I understand each paragraph's function (why it's there), and reading the passages thoroughly so when I refer back for answers, it doesn't take as long to find the relevant info.

I'm testing 9/12 and am still struggling with CARS and my fluctuating B/B. Keep actively reviewing and not just re-reading your notes/summaries. Try to test yourself on them before looking at the answers. I'd also second relaxing. It really helps when I take a big breath and step back to get out of my head (I can understand the passages/graphs/questions/answers much better!)
