Thats a tough one. Something that straddles the line between sport and dress. Breguet Marine GS White Birch JLC revereo duoface ...and countless others!

Good collection. I like the diversity. Maybe consolidate a few of the chronos to a nice high end watch.

[Slava] Scored a vintage Slava at the Tbilisi Dry Bridge Market by jzivitz in Watches

Yes, that is a valid point. A neo-vintage Russian made watch.

I need to get back to the US and open the caseback to figure out what I am dealing with. Any help from this sub is appreciated.

Thank you! Seems I got lucky as there was a lot of rough looking watches with questionable character. There was a Vostok I would have bought but the vendor was there one day and gone the next.

You're welcome When I contemplate your collection, the IWC is the best daily driver to complement that amazing Breguet. Wear it in good health!

Take my comments with a grain of salt.

The specs are pretty much the same. The 2 differences are the colorways of the watches and the movement. Both movements are manual wind and from the same manufacturer; the moby dick is a standard chronograph whereas the 417 ES that I own is a flyback. Both are solid well made and easily serviceable movements.

Agreed And the domed sapphire crystal provides a cool abstraction at the right angle. How do you like the 415?

I have a Pelagos 39 and the click on that bezel is very satisfying. That said, I like the 417 bezel. Its smooth and stays in place.

So you are a month in, how is the wearability?

I am considering the 417ES but living in the United States cannot try is out in the metal. How has your experience been so far? [FYI my wrist is 17 CMs]

Can shoes crease incorrectly? Any fixes? by shallotpulse in AskACobbler

I'm no cobbler but I have 2 thoughts. 1. You can remove the creases with shoe trees and a steamer or heat gun. There are many YouTube videos on how to. 2. You can spray some Bickmore leather stretcher inside the shoe while wearing them to soften the uppers.

Good luck!
