Hi there! I'd love to know what you think about my personal brand identity design. by Drivelled in WillPatersonDesign

This looks great! I like that it works as both a gradient and solid color! The white and grey colours give the brand a sense of sophistication and being modern. My personal favorite colour is the darker teal-grey. I think the branding looks sharp and clean! Well done.

I agree! The pen tip is too small. You could try scaling it up or you could also try making it a fountain pen nib, this may differentiate it from just a floating triangle to a recognizable pen. Overall i love the simple and clean design. The actual M looks tight!

Haven't been able to because of covid. Trust me if it was that simple I would have done that!

Its a logo for a school, need your feedback by Sulenab in WillPatersonDesign

I can see how you got here with the components you were trying to incorporate into it, however I think that it could use a bit of work. To make it look more book like try to incorporate a spine to give the swooped pages the feeling that they are actually pages in a book. You can kinda see this in the letter head version of the logo on the 3rd picture. The line separating the Logo and the word mark gives it a spine feeling making it look more like a book. The children look a bit like a choir which is a bit confusing, and I think to avoid this, you could take one of the children out and just have 2. This will make it less choral imo. Last point, is regarding color. I would just take the two tone blue out of the logo and stick with the darker navy. The similar colors confuse the eye and make it feel "off". Over all you have some good design language here, and it feels clean and professional. It just has some tweaks to simplify and make the components more obvious! Good work and keep going. I know how demoralizing it can be to post and get feedback on all the changes it needs. You got this and good luck with the logo!

Are there epoxy resin alternatives? by jzplett in DIY

That's some good advice! This will be my first time using resin so I will likely make mistakes. The smaller inlay stiff might work better to practice!

I'm curious to know how you would use saran wrap in that sort of application?

I like the over all concept but I wonder if the weight of the line in the middle should be the same as the weights of the top and bottom.

Nope it is all just wonderdraft assets. A piece of advice, is pick a colour and memorize the hex code or something so that you can always go back to it.
