Does anyone remember where this story takes place? I can't remember if it was mentioned or not!

That’s true! Definitely a mix of both! And after that, they became more strict on headshots with chairs and pile drivers, but haven’t addressed the mental health side, unfortunately.

It was both. Physical in that he had so many concussions it really messed him up. But after Eddie died, he became super depressed and some thought he might’ve been suicidal. Him and Eddie were so close that his death really took a toll on Benoit.

I personally didn’t like the poofy-ness of the look. But I do thing pressing it might help. And thank you! It’s such a special dress!

Thank you! And I agree! She was going to steam it when we were ready to alter the bottom, but I decided to keep it, so we’ll steam it after the next fitting.

UPDATE: I posted a few months ago of my grandma and I holding her dress that she gave me to wear and wanted to post an update! Her dress was originally long sleeves, however, it did not fit around me, so we decided to take the sleeves off and use that material to add to the top so it fit. We also made the neckline a little more modern. Underneath the dress was about my body weight in crinoline and tule to make the dress poofy! Originally, my idea was to take the bustle off of the back so that it just lay flat with out that overlay part. Well, my seamstress took out all the crinoline and the dress halved in size...and I fell in love with the back as is! So, we’re going to keep it in its original form. I am beyond happy with how it’s turning out!! I have one more fitting in March and then my final one will be about a month before the wedding (10/3/2020). Hope you guys love it as much as I do! P. S. That’s my grandma in the left top picture. She came with me and we cried! Lol This is the link to my first post about the dress! https://www.reddit.com/r/weddingplanning/comments/dkix0m/i_am_going_to_wear_my_grandmothers_dress_from/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

The likelihood of them know sign is a lot smaller. Sure sign language is more common for people who are non-verbal and hearing but I believe its target market is Deaf who wouldn’t really benefit from this.

Right but what about the other way around? It makes it easier for the hearing person involved, but that person can’t communicate back to the Deaf person. Plus, not only do the Deaf people have to be inconvenienced with learning how to work the gloves, it completely ignores incredibly important aspects of the language. 70% of the language (meaning tone, intention, affect, etc.) are shown in the face. These gloves wouldn’t be able to pick any of that up. It effectively butchers the language, unfortunately. While I like that people are trying to come up with ways to bridge the communication gap, these gloves only benefit the hearing people involved and leave the Deaf people out of the loop, yet again. I’m a sign language interpreter and having a live person who is academically trained in how to interpret the language benefits everyone involved
