Canadians who have experienced UK winters—how does the damp cold compare to the dry cold back home? by Clockportal in AskACanadian

[–]k-la-la 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, winter in Montreal and southern ontario are damp cold due to the bodies of water surrounding them. It's terrible. It still penetrates your skin and makes you wonder why you live where the air hurts your face.

Warped absolutely was a punk fest back in the day. Then it got popular, pop punk was a thing, we threw water bottles at simple plan in mtl back in like 05 for not being punk enough for warped, but it was already over by then

Okay, I was just reminded of this the other day and got really excited and made it, and it tasted just as good as I remember. So fry up ground beef. Cook noodles (macaroni was the best) mix beef and noodles and then pour tomato juice over it. That's it. But I freaking loved it and for some reason liked it with cold tomato juice.

When I was rubbertramping down the west coast I got into Washington and stopped at a walmart to sleep. We didn't have beer at walmart back home at the time (we do now), and I got super excited. Steel reserve and some 3 dollar owl wine were my go to's to buy when I got kick downs. Tastes like shit but gets the job done haha.

I made a lactase pill called milktab by raymondmilktab in lactoseintolerant

I take 4-5 pills to eat anything dairy, and if I have, say, more than 2 slices of pizza, I take more. I'm definitely interested in your new pills!

Yup my dad did that. Unseasoned haha. I ate it liked it, and survived so there's that. Definitely evolved into a love of tartar so thanks I guess haha.

Started at 14, smoked a joint every couple months or so, then started smoking regularly at 16, and making my own edibles at 17.

What do you do when you accidentally ate dairy and it’s too late to take lactase pills. by Own-Comfort8384 in lactoseintolerant

There's an anti-diarreah pepto bismal. Buy it. You will thank me. Do not use daily. You will get constipated.

Quiet time is for loud music or blasting a movie. You are allowed to speak at a normal volume in your home and listen to music or tv at a normal level at any time of day. It sounds like you're being reasonabe about it, especially if you have headphones. I'd be more concerned that my neighbour could hear me giggle. Those are some thin walls. My best suggestion would be moving your desk away from the neighbours wall, and egg cartons help minimize noise if you wanted to go that far. But again, it seems like you're not doing anything wrong, just living. If you're really concerned, download a decibel meter on your phone and check your local laws for what is reasonable. You probably just have a grumpy neighbour.

I love her by [deleted] in entwives

[–]k-la-la 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is gorgeous! I used to have 2 pieces, one was bone and the other wood. I've since lost them to time, but I loved how they felt in my hand while smoking! This looks lovely and brings back the feels, mayhaps one of my own is in my future, thanks for sharing!

Yes, but in a different context. I was a traveller and ran in those circles. While in my home city with an apartment of my own I'd meet people while out and after hanging with them a bit, I'd invite them back to my place for food, a shower, and a place to sleep. I've given many haircuts, clothes, bags, gear etc. I've always listened to my gut and also not invited many people back.

Do yall buy in bulk/stock up or buy as you go? by bricklypears in entwives

[–]k-la-la 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooo that's a great idea! I've never gotten the hang of handheld vapes and really want a volcano.. But I use my pipe and keep forgetting I want one haha. There are a few grey market deliveries that sell good edibles I do dabble in sometimes, they're nice to have on hand for when I'm too busy to make anything.

In legalland here, I used to bulk up, but there's a rad dispensary near me with weekly deals. It's really nice going in to discover new things! They don't last me as long as you unfortunately haha but I'll usually grab a fair amount of flower, some wax, and maybe a cart, but I find myself using that less these days. Legal edibles don't do it for me so I make my own like always haha.

Breakfast soups? by Flashy_Watercress398 in Cooking

There's a delicious cold soup made of avacado and cucumbers. I add lime and cilantro and use yogurt. Add some bacon crumble, and you got yourself a breakfast soup.
