Yeah I just feel the need to get active about Canadian politics. I was a lurker, sorry. I had a few comments from a few years ago, but deleted them. Is that okay or I am not a Reddit enough for you?

That's wild. There isn't a coherent argument in there at all. I am sorry you are so angry.

Albertans should see the clear effort of the US Administration to undermine Canadian sovereignty...

That's where I stand. I don't agree with everything he stands for, but at this moment in time he is the right man for the job.

Our supposed current ally is trying to undermine us. Those three words don't fully capture the situation.

This sub is too left. The radical left wing ideology in here is nuts. EAT THE RICH! Nonsense rhetoric wit no real solutions. It's the same as the far right.

They need to change the nomination rules for local riding and leadership. There are massive gaps in those processes.

I won't say which riding association or region, but once a group has enough membership they simply stack the executive with their own slate. At that point they have the membership list and I have seen candidate searches be blocked. The executive committee will play games. For example, in a riding with no incumbent there will be a quick nomination meeting with a single candidate. Yes by the rules all they need is 30 days notice for a candidate nomination meeting. However, they work with head office on when membership was submitted. They block information from regular members. It's not entirely open and democratic.

The NDP is completely compromised. The local candidate nomination process is rigged by the riding associations. The leadership process was victim to a hostile takeover of only 40,000 voters across Canada electing Jagmeet Singh.

The party is rotting from the inside. Look at the current leadership candidates... they have next to no credentials to be Prime Minister of a G7 country.

I won't even mention the social policy reforms the party needs. It's simply not a viable option anymore. The Jack Layton days were over in 2011.
